  • This is a pcb for Snes homebrew and repro games. A LOT of the super Mario hacks need the higher sram memory so this is one solution for that.
I have a ton of these 29F032 5volt roms laying around so thought I’d use them this way.
Here’s a link to the share project file at pcb way
    www.pcbway.com...
I do have some available to sell also if you want to contact me directly.
Probably the most difficult aspect of making your own pcb is the programming of the CIC chip that is necessary for the cart to function.
Pcbway might be able to do that for you for a fee, you need a Pickit4 device and some handiness to do it yourself and the MPlab program from Microchip.

I plan to release many of my pcb designs in the near future. This pcb in this video, it’s most useful with the programmer pcb and you also need the (hard to find) 29F032/33 roms. It’s only because I have a few thousand of these roms I purchased many years ago that I made this pcb.

      I appreciate the kind words.
I’m revising this pcb to be a little more user friendly to those who would want to make their own, hand mounting the roms. I may post the design on PCBway later. It’s still in a prototype testing phase. I’m convinced people will want the pcb, but not convinced they would also want to purchase a programming device. With that in mind, I’m making a change that will make hand mounting the roms more straightforward. This is to be my last pcb. I’m moving on to a different business that isn’t in electronics.
