18:35 In the patch notes it says +0.15m for travel time projectiles less than or equal to 50m/s. Lucio’s primary fire is 50m/s. So why does he only get +0.10m? Great video though

phew, hanzo arrows got bigger. I was getting tired of hanzo arrows missing me sometimes.
Especially when you watch it go over your shoulder and still get headshot, so glad that can happen more often now

Every update overwatch *gameplay* is getting closer to paladins *gameplay*
5v5, healing reduction, slower ttk, bigger hitboxes, slower ults, self-healing for everyone, tanks are stronger overall, etc. (all I could remember)
i bet they're gonna make the movement slower and even easier to hit shots so that aiming is still important but not feel random because of the acceleration of the game
I hope they add jumping 3x higher when facing a wall
Exactly what I thought as soon as I read the dps passive.
The devs talked about the movement being slowed in Overwatch 2 but they tried it in Alpha and thought it was terrible so I don't think we'll ever see that one.
Also hanzo and sombra rework. If u Digg back enough dva rework too. Plus mauga and raum.
Hanzo is also getting closer to his Sha Lin cousin, with tree logs out of his bow
Soldier: 76's Heavy Pulse Rifle is explicitly used as an example for precision hitscan weapons getting a +0.08 size increase, and travel time projectile weapons with a speed of 50 m/s or less are getting the +0.15 size increase, which includes Helix Rockets. Soldier's buffs are bigger than what KarQ is stating here.
Ik suprised he got that wrong. Said the same thing for bastions primary fire.
Idk abt every character being able to heal themselves but im willing to see what its like before hating

20HPS after 5 seconds out of the fight, that's not gonna do much for tanks whose job is to attract attention.
For DPS, that could help snipers and flankers since they're more likely to be separated from the supports.
For support, it'll kick in after 2.5 seconds of not taking damage, so not much different than before.
The real biggie is the new dps passive applying a 20% healing reduction on hit, yet Ana nade not being touched at all.

20 hps after 5 seconds means 9 seconds of out of combat gets you 100 health. I can find a health pack in 9 seconds.

For zarya, If you count the number of bars for her health, her barrier health got increased by 3 bars instead of her white health. So I think we might had a little mistake there. 6:53

One thing that sucks about doom is how reliant he is on emp punch, main way to secure kills I wish they would do some power shift more into his slam and or primary
Also rip diag punches. As a matter of fact his entire kit can’t function properly for 5 seconds without a bug screwing you over.

@@abudgie6909 I will say if you’re just playing doom to win he could be pretty viable just boring because nano doom could single handily win a fight as nano emp one shots 250 hps, it’s unfun but I’d say he kinda feels like season 2 he’s not fun to play or to fight he gets emp a lot with the size increase of bullets but emp is much weaker so idk. I want a power shift

i think with the outer layer damage change, it used to be 900 max if you were just outside the inner layer range. now it scales down from 1000 instead of 900 in the outer layer to have consistent numbers
Another thing that i have not read anywhere the season seems to be shorter. This Season is going for 56 days before it was 63 days so basically a week shorter.
idk if this is new but reins headshot shatter is up from 170 to 200 so he can still swing slam squishies
edit: for those who dont know cass and zen would have to be swung on twice with a headshot shatter because 170+100 isnt 275 but since they made shatter 200 now you can still swing once and headshot shatter them

Yes, slam increased from 85 to 100. So you can with the head shot and the slam

Yeah those new projectile sizes are definitely a problem that should be tuned down. You don’t need to be near the character when shooting
as if being perma invis wasnt annoying enough sombra can now heal while being invis nice
Sure but it takes 15 seconds to heal 200 HP. Sombra might as well still grab health packs while invisible, that’s still a better way to heal.

For how long it takes its way faster for the sombra to hack a health pack. It really doesn't change anything for sombra.
@@willoe55yeah but what about when you hack a mini and it doesnt heal you to full? now you dont have to wait around for it to come up again, you can just rely on your passive heal and go straight back into the fight
@shieldgenerator7 It's probably one of the most minor buffs you could give Sombra though, especially considering EVERY character also gets it. I don't really see why this is Sombra specific. Tracer, Reaper, Genji and Ball also benefit decently from this passive.

I think that when you press "character info" where you get description of abilities they should also provide numbers like shot is dealing "yx" you can heal someone by "yx" you know what i mean like in lol or something
This was what puzzled me when I transitioned from Paladins to OW2. Paladins shows you way more data on abilities than the vague description OW2 provides, and doesn't omit key tech like Mercy super jump

Genji objectively got a buff. His relative state doesn't matter.
@@ricocarpenter2189 Not a Genji player but think it trhough man, the ONLY thing that matters is the relative state a hero's in.
If every hero gets a buff but your buff isnt as big as the other one's you're at a disadvantage
@@ricocarpenter2189 From at least my first perspective of his changes, he overall didn't get a buff. Due to the health increase, you can no longer kill people with nano blade by one dash and swipe. Yes you can just swipe them twice since it's faster now, however that drastically wastes more blade time. You also can't "one shot" enemies anymore (dash, left click to the head, then melee). About every easy one shot from Genji now requires you to hit them twice with something.
Obviously this can't always be seen because if your teammate is shooting at the enemy too then you can still hit his one shots, but you can easily tell in a 1v1 how much harder it is for Genji to win
@@warsquid4138 The thumbnail is to show what characters got buffs outside of general buffs that every character got. Genji got a buff that was not universal. This video is about what changes characters received, not what the meta is/a tier list.

Unfortunately Doomfist got a handful of bugs. Audio bugs but a lot of his techs were removed. It’s really unfortunate.

This new recover health out of battle kinda nerf the champions with shield health because that was the point of those heroes able to recover some of their health overtime vs other heroes

well shield recover faster than hp (after 3s outside of battle instead of 5s) except for zenyatta. En all in all that mean double the regen when both are trigger at the same time
The dps passive implies that roadhog/reaper are nerfed since it nerfs their regen ...

Did Brig’s whipshot not get a damage and/or projectile size buff?
The healing reduction thing for DPS is great. So imagine this: you shoot Bastions armor, you stick the bastion with the pulse bomb, you shoot at him again, and he doesn't die. Or, you nano-blade, and it gets OUT HEALED by a damn moira ult.
Right, because an Ultimate countering another Ultimate is a problem.

I feel like Blizzard is just telling us that everyone sucks at the game.
- Tanks don't defend their team enough. Better give everyone more HP.
- Supports don't keep their team alive enough. Better give everyone self-heal.
- DPS don't do enough damage. Better make it so it's impossible to miss.
Like, what was even the point?
I guess just stop playing the game? :D Or else blizzard will just continue like this I guess....:)

It will, and people will complain. Just like how people complained about Support being too powerful, and still are, so they introduced this passive.
Just me being nitpicky, but the majority of heroes went from 200 to 250 which is a 25% hp increase. On your general hero changes card you put 15-20% hp buff, lol. Thanks for the content, KarQ!

I did some testing, and I don't think Mercy's change went in. I started a timer the moment I super jump and ended it the moment cooldown is over, and I consistently get 3 seconds = 1.5 second cooldown + 1.5 second "active duration". So, I don't think they changed kt from 1.5 to 1 second.
However, if I am in Valk, then it is definitely quicker, but I can't remember if that was always the case.
RIP Roadhog and Soldier 76 for being the test dummies for this video. You will be remembered.

Hogs self heal is basically useless now, with his increased health, increased enemy projectile size, it's past healing nerf and now 20% heal reduction
Soldier 76 heal is useless too now
You can barely heal yourself or get healed in any team fight

Wdym? Did you not read the patch notes? Pharah has to touch the ground now to regenerate fuel plus new dps passive means that pharmercy is dead.
@@BeastMode-bw2ry pharah has more mobility horzontally, so she is basically an echo with the side to side movement that she can now do, with pharah leveles of damage and concussive blast now also does damage. so overall no, its not over. its definietyley curbed a bit, but it is still very much not stopped.

@@hulkman245 Tbf.. Pharah.. the flying Character.. does less flying with each patch... It feels like every other able hero stays longer in the air then the supposed "flying" character. Tried her, and it sucked ass. You have to relearn the whole character. I don´t like it a bit

Gameplay wise cautiously optimistic, patch looks fun. Although all these changes remind me of how much Overwatch has changed over the years
I'd honestly love if they threw in a gameplay stats wise equivalent nostalgia mode event for just around/or before when Sombra was added. They could tuck it in the custom games presets as a little love letter gift to old early Overwatch 1 veterans that'd be cool

Shield health means absolutely nothing when regular health and now even armor regen over time. The only unique thing about shield was it came back over time after they got rid of Sombra messing with it.
Shield health means nothing anymore.
I think shield health regenerates faster
Shields regen 10 hps faster and start healing 2 seconds faster than self healing. After 5 seconds heroes with shields heal at 50 hps. Shields are a objectively better than passive healing, and the effects stack.
Doom needed his primary fire buffed instead.
Ngl it’s already pretty good, if you hit a headshot it does 100 damage
@@mdc867 takes more skill than punch, and you rarely hit all pellets to the head. Bring it back to 6 per pellet and he would be viable. Doom is awful this patch

I think my biggest gripe right now is this just being full sent live. And not being put in an experimental.

I feel like this video could've been cleaned up a little bit, by quickly glossing over the hitbox increases and the ult cost increases at the same time after all other changes (per hero), so that instead of showcasing them as full on changes every time, they would essentially be reminders.
Alot of people are just going to skip the intro and go to their main so that’s why it has to be said for every character
I wonder if the 20% healing reduction from the dps stacks depending on how many people are shooting the target. Could be a cool mythbuster idea
