That steering shaft visible at pedal area...(2:52).. thats just poor design. Ive seen this is Nexon as well. Your left foot can accidently rest on that shaft and the feeling is really not great when that happens. It could have been covered by some hard plastic etc. Poor work man.
In this case, at least, because there is enough space to rest your left foot, and you won't need to move your left foot because there is no clutch pedal - there is very little chance of it hitting the steering intermediate shaft

Yes it will definitely engage the clutch to a certain extent like half clutch and will damage it overtime with this prolonged habit. Better get rid of this habit
I am thinking of cancelling breeza 2022 zxi Mt n take this 2022 seltos htk plus imt ,breeza cost me 14 lakhs this is 16.60 lakh ,is it worth to spend extra ,I just dislike breeza looks especially cladding n front grill

Sure, it's not as easy as driving the AT/DCT versions of the Seltos in the hills. But it is neither painful nor dangerous, it requires the same effort you would driving the manual transmission variants of the Seltos
I did test drive, if you release break in hill area it will scroll a bit backwards & automatically start moving forward without applying acceleration. So it has hill hold in built, but not complete hill assist

The clutch does not engage if you keep you hand on the gear knob, so there's no danger of it getting worn out like that
