This drum is definitely worth the hype, I bought one and have been playing it on all my gigs, it's the only one I'm using and I have others that I like but the Brooklyn Standard just does it for me. I'd buy it over and over again!
It sounds great here but the thing that made me buy mine was the versatility - it'll take so low a tuning for a 5.5 you'll think you were listening to the snare on Tom Petty's Breakdown, but when you crank it up the wood almost sounds like a brass shell. "Workhorse" is apt; you can make it do so many things, but it doesn't do it justice to how it *feels* to play it. It's a joy.
Wonderful review! I’ve had this snare drum for about a year and it is the snare drum I prefer over others I own, it’s just that good.

Thanks guys for your input…I have one in order just now….I can’t wait to get it and play on it ❤️🥁
