I am Myuu. A musician who loves writing dark piano songs. They are free to use as long as credit is given. I always try to make the music sound creepy and beautiful at the same time. In addition to my piano and horror soundtracks I also do orchestrated pieces and industrial/experimental work.

the first time I heard this song was in a That Creepy Reading of "The Smiling Man" and I was like *weelllll FUCK MEEEE* the whole time... haunting and sends a shiver down my entire body!

You can thank this piece for sending me down the rabbit hole of where it was from and finding Myuu's discography. I heard it in a Thomas the Tank Engine fan ghost story, The Wandering Coach, and though a lot of those stories use other horror music (even some of Myuu's other compositions) to complement the base Thomas OST, this is perhaps the most distinctive extra track I've heard used. And all I could hear of it in that video through the narration was the creepy "ding ding ding ding" of the piano, so I was very happy to find out there was even more to the piece than that. But you know it's a good horror piece when just a single note on repeat sends you down a rabbit hole looking for it :)

Another beautiful composition, Myuu. Your music just gets better and better as time goes by. It's funny, when I first started listening to creepypastas, this music really freaked me out. Now, I use it to help me get to sleep.

The mental image I had while listening to this;
An evil overlord weeping softly in a dark room, having been consumed and driven mad by jealousy and unable to see that he’s caused his own downfall, blaming everyone else for his current state. His only friend tries to comfort him, but he pushes them away, shouting that they never cared for him and they only wanted to see him suffer and fail. Downhearted, the “friend” leaves. It’s ambiguous as to whether or not they were even there or if the dark lord was hallucinating. He utters one final scream of despair and all falls silent.

Do you name your pieces before or after you finished them?
What matters is if they had the entire score laid out in their mind beforehand, knowing what it will sound like and already giving the tune a name to call. I don't believe many composers write songs for titles, but rather write titles for songs unless they know exactly how their composition is going to turn out sounding. My guess is that they think up a title for their piece after they finish it, and sometimes even mid-process. They soak in the vibe of their music and come up with the perfect description to use as its name.
