- In this video I am cutting up a Black Oak tree that fell due to some recent storms. I do have the property owners permission to record and post this video.
When you are a Woodhound, word gets out! This person reached out to me to see if I would like the wood, and I was more than happy to be able to help his family, and score a lot of great firewood in the process.
I almost has a bad mishap, There is a large log that breaks free and rolls at me. In hindsight I should have cut that log from the other end. (you'll see it in the video)
There will be at least 2 more videos from this content. This video only covers cutting up one of the two trees that are down, and then I need to aul it all home.

Cheers to firewood scores where you can back right up to the rounds. 👍
TOUCHDOWN!!!!
That’s some good looking firewood to be. That was definitely a close call with the log rolling.
@Robbinsfarm21 oak is my favorite firewood!
That was a close call. I learned my lesson. When I cut up the 2nd tree that fell the other direction, I left it attached at the base to hold the log from rolling while I buck it to 16" pieces from the other end.
Hoping to have that video out in a few days
@@FirewoodInTheField looking forward to it.
That looks like some nice firewood. Nice CS 670
@@chrismartin4776 Thanks!
Sounds like the carb. on your echo needs adjusted. Probably needs more fuel on the high jet.
@@GDonut23 Thanks for the tip!
Hello Matt, I didn't see or hear the Cicadas. Have they run their cycle? Mike 🔥🪵
@thehogslogs8631 Yes. That large "emergence" is over. It was neat to experience, but also nice to be over. Lol.
I'm 2-4 weeks behind on publishing material. Video editing is more difficult than I realized!
