It runs very nice and is in excellent condition. No mods or alterations. Glad to see it running. Love that little lamphouse.

Glad that you've managed to get such classic Warnerbros cartoons please preserve them for the future and don't let Warnerbros stop you from keeping such great film prints
    Great projector by the way.

Thank you for sharing - lovely set up!
I too have found that 35mm can be much easier to accomodate than 16mm in the average home.
in my case, I use a Vic5 on a custom made base with a 'chopped off' Rank Aldis Tutor 2 as a lamphouse. The 24v 250w lamp via the condenser optics throws a nice 7ft wide picture at some 20-22 ft lamberts screen illumination
I had experimented with cold LED lamps but soon gave up on the idea.
'Screen size' is not important; a clean and sharp 7ft wide image looks huge when you're sitting just a few feet away from it.

I always wanted a Vic 5 having worked on them for years. I hated the look of them at first.

Very nice... surprised at how fast the film goes through :)

    • @eddiesmyth6464

It does waft through at a fair old speed. Exactly 1 and a half foot a second (90 feet per minute). That large spool contains 6000ft which will run for an hour and 6 minutes. It used to scare me like crazy when I was a kid and started my first show at the Classic Cinema, Rotherham. If the film broke and the projector kept running, the floor would get covered in film before you could blink.

@@eddiesmyth6464 i started when we used CINEMECANICA VIC 8 and 9'S / PHILLIPS CAKE STANDS and screen one had change over. we had a stop roller so if the film broke the projector would shut down, sound an alarm and raise the lights and music and close the curtains lol

I love my FP20, though I would murder for those sweet spool boxes you have.

Great work! What did you use for your lamp source. A slide projector lamp house, or specially built? Would like to do similar with my Philips FP3

Hi Derek. It came with this custom made lamphouse when I bought it. It has a large mirror inside with a 36v 400w quartz lamp plus cooling fans.

@@eddiesmyth6464 Thanks. I saw your amp review and thinking of buying one as only outputting to stereo amp. Used to get spares off you at Ealing! Seems a while ago now. Any hints of how the lamohouse was constructed - I.e. any interior photos?

@@derekd2721 Ahhh Ealing, my favourite studio 😆. I'm afraid I haven't got any shots of the lamp house as it means dragging the projector around but I promise I'll get around to it.

@@ThePowerpuffHotline you can find quality projectors on ebay for under $5,000 lamphouse included. A looney tunes print wouldn't set you back more than a couple hundred bucks, probably less.

Your thread is wrong. Out of the gate the film should go in front of the next roller then to the back of the next
