Its a few years since i first listened to Jordan.. i didnt remember the exact lessons but what he's saying is certainly the way i live. It's good. It works but the mountain analogy is a good one... I mean who reached a peak and just stays there? Life is filled with undulations. Make your bed
So many jewels in this message. Always navigating can be exhausting but it could also me exhilarating. The power is ours. I appreciate the hunt and gather perspective but most importantly I'm charged by the reality that the past is fixed but the future is still raw for my molding. Being encouraged and accountable is the medium.
Best 2 cents I can offer. Workout out your body everyday and strive for small increments. At least half the people in America or the world would greatly physically and mentally benefit from a form of exercise.

Anybody can help me? I am stuck between idealism and nihilism and between suffering to be used to suffer and being kind to myself…. Always changing. Is it normal? Can someone be kind to himself while pushing himself to suffer? Bit by bit I’ll try by giving little gifts to myself after challenges. Should I pity on me? I don’t know but I think I should. And, 500 tiny decisions? I can’t make even a few decisions in a day cause I am afraid to do the wrong thing. And every decisions have too many options I can see. That is how I feel.
It sounds like you are inclined to feel that everything is meaningless and pointless (the nihilism). And yet you feel that anything you do should be the exact right thing to do, and that you should do it to a very high standard (the idealism). Being afraid to do the wrong thing, and feeling that there are too many options/choices accompanying every decision, reminds me of the trap of 'perfectionism'. There is a saying: " 'Done' is better than 'perfect' ". Maybe you can use what you call your 'nihilism' to offset what you call your 'idealism'. If everything is pointless, then it doesn't matter too much if you don't attain 'perfection' in something (whatever that might look like). So you are free to do the best that you can manage, at that point in time, and then let it go. Maybe you can use what you call your 'idealism' to offset your 'nihilism'. The fact that you have this concept of doing the right thing, and doing it properly, to a high standard, suggests that a 'nihilistic' mindset is not necessarily the correct one. You need a boost of morale. Choose the easiest thing you can think of, that you can do to improve your situation, and give it a go. Doing that thing will raise your morale, and put you in a better position to do the next thing. This process will develop your confidence with making decisions. You will also find that you are capable of more than your self-doubt will allow you to believe. It's just a matter of taking slow steps up. Gradually ascend, and you should find yourself in a world that is different and better.
God chose the unlikely, the failures, speech impediment, the unconfident to work his glory. Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Aaron, Jacob. He then sent his son not to be born in a palace or a five star hotel. He was humble and did not get paid millions for speaking engagements. Don't listen to these guys. The light you are looking for is God himself, the truth and the light. If you search for him you will find him. He will hear your prayer for he cares for you.
But I'm at very bottom and everything I do is only enough to feed myself and maybe enough for gas so that I can look for a way to eat tomorrow. I hate my lif. Even though I hate myself, I'm still kind enough to help others more than helping myself. Why am I so lazy?
find God find something to live for set a goal, depression is a sign that something in your life needs to change, don’t indulge in the laziness, don’t look for excuses to justify the behavior. if you truly want change, you will take action to get there. honestly tho, it’s hard to change even when you know it’s the right thing for you in the long run. set small goals for yourself and complete them. something as simple as waking around your neighborhood for a couple of minutes. congratulate yourself after and feel accomplished. slowly start to build up the intensity of those goals. goodluck man 🫡 “no man steps into the same river twice, for he is not the same man and it’s not the same river” “nothing changes if nothing changes”
If it's true that Jordan Peterson is worth $10,000,000 ... he must now believe that he HAS become the best version of his self. He certainly does have some nice suits that he wears to impress his millions of followers when he gives them "worldly" advise. Not ALL psychologists have been able to pull it together as Jordan Peterson and Phil McGraw did by using their licenses as psychologists to go on social media. Oh well ... the "playing fields" never were level. Because of Oprah Winfrey's promotion of Dr. Phil McGraw's "counsel" ... he is now supposedly worth $460,000,000 It seems that the gift of the gab really does reward "some" psychologists with "bountiful" rewards.
Judging others is your way of not looking inward. What are you afraid to see? Look in the mirror. JP is helping people. You're a hater. You have zero credibility here and I imagine, everywhere your spew your hateful garbage.
