There is plenty of investigative reporting, from the same places that have done it for years. What has changed is that many people stopped trusting the news media. What has been gutted is the ability of many voters to think critically, to listen to information that doesn't fit their existing view of things, and to reconsider what they think when they get new information.

There is plenty of investigative reporting, from the same places that have done it for years. What has changed is that many people stopped trusting the news media.
What has been gutted is the ability of many voters to think critically, to listen to information that doesn't fit their existing view of things, and to reconsider what they think when they get new information.
