I really like Melee Peach better. Not because of her moves, but because of her general style. She's a lot less....cutesy...here. She's got cute aspects to her and the like, but they're kept in balance with more badass elements and body language. Also, her voice is deeper and, IMO, a LOT more tolerable than her later performance. She in general is a lot sassier here, which makes her fit in better with the fighting game theme.
+Ninetails2000 I personally preferred the more "serious" and realistic style of look, feel (physics), and play style of character. Case in point, Fox- who now looks like a plushie since Brawl and I've gotten used to his new and original VA. That being said, I do like Smash 4 and Brawl for what they are but Melee's aesthetics cater to my taste a bit more ( though I'm really liking the look of Smash 4 chars. I can't speak on the feel since I've never played it).
I actually really like the style that Smash 4 has, but I kinda dislike that they paired it with parring down the character designs to be more in line with their official depictions. That could have been a wonderful opportunity to do Brawl's Extra-Detailed designs justice AND show off the HD features of the Wii-U using the game more saturated color palate. Meh, it's all moot now that the Switch has been flipped. XP

What you might be more interested in is a Peach tutorial MacD actually made not too long ago. It should be on Clash Tournament's YT channel somewhere.
