The problem with this scx24 shocks is that they don’t hold grease and carisma are not a clean look as the aftermarket shocks for the scx24’s 😝, nice video, thanks👍

U should try orlandoos are epic get ya a good .9mm allen driver and a magnetic screw driver everything in kit is bagged and numberd and build on some sort of trey with sidelips so nothing can roll off and join either orlandoo builders guild or orlandoo collectors club on facebook were a pretty tight groups set on helping users get through their builds and we show off alot but orlandoos are the most epic mikros on the market ive solely run doos for 5 years now

Hey, what do you think about combining the Carisma shocks with Treal shocks? Maybe not much difference, but all metal! :)
Mrs. Rabbit idk if I had another set I’d try it. Carisma shocks are a bit thinner I think. 🤔

TJ, thanks to several of your videos & helpful advice my SCX24 C10 is shaping up very well. The one upgrade I haven’t done is to the shocks. I ordered the HR shocks about 4 weeks ago. They were on backorder. I switched suppliers because i thought I could get them more quickly & it turns out the second vendor has now informed me the shocks won’t be available until the end of November.
I sawTREAL shocks you used in this video. Would they be a suitable upgrade for my C10?
If so, could you give me the order info?
Joseph Morelli yes for sure they are hood shocks especially with a little bit of red and tacky grease in them.

I put my scx24 up off its suspension for a couple days after unboxing and used a cut in half axial shock bushing to preload the fronts. Dremeled the wheel arches for clearance and added some red and tacky in the shocks. I'm happy with how it runs now though my basher side wants to make it faster wheel speed wise and I'm still trying to set up a good charging solution. Is the emax metal geared?
Awesome yes the emax has metal gears but isn’t much stronger or any more reliable then stock. The savox sh0350 is a great servo not metal gears but also not cheapo plastic gears ether and more then enough torque for the scx24. 👊🙂
@@TJthercGuy have you seen these brushless systems around? I'd been curious about if the castle mamba micro x system would fit with a flysky receiver. I'm almost wanting to turn it into a little monster truck.
@@Fyxxterzc yeah I hear they are great for crawling with a revolver motor. But I can’t afford that setup to test.
But keep in mind the scx24 has worm gears they won’t handle speed for long and as soon as you let off the throttle the axles will lock up and slam the gears and axle shafts. Now if you want to build a little monster truck basher grab a cheap ecx barrage, rgt v2 or and e24. They have ring and pinion gears so they are way higher geared and handle speed better. Then you can find a little cheapo grave digger rc and combine it with the crawlers to make a scale micro monster truck. 👊🙂
Kevin Talbot made a couple mini scale no monster trucks on his channel.

@@Fyxxterzc no problem man just had to let you know the cons of worm gears and speed. If you add some weight in the back of your wheels it helps a ton. Also you should setup a few gates on a line somewhere it gets way funner. Gates make it harder and help improve your skills allot. That’s why comps are so fun. 🤘😃
Whatd you use the 1.7g servo ??? Thats only for the f150 the rest of the orlandoo fleet is sposed to use the 2.2g servo
Yep accidentally ordered the wrong servo no biggy thought works just fine. 👊😄
@@TJthercGuy 2.2 has alot more power if you end up getting alloy wheels or wheelweights try n score a 2.2 servo too incase the weight burns the 1.7 out

Roor awesome I’ll think about that. I’m pretty sure the light I got are for the Jeep though. Couldn’t find a esc/m/light kit the specifically for the defender. 🤔
@@TJthercGuyI thought all the lights worked for all their cars but you just use less on which vehicle your putting them in too, I might be wrong I know the defender uses the most lights like 17 or something, I have a jeep coming too I just ordered it like 3 days ago so when I get it I'll let you know if theres a difference

@@TJthercGuy I just used 2 1s 300 mah batteries in series cause i didn't feel like spending $30-40 on new battery so i just used my tiny whoop batteries in series lol
Roor yeah the orlandoo battery is like $13.20 on eBay. I just only had enough for the electronics right now unfortunately. 😅

i cant stop going through motors and SERVOS, i gotta order a new servo this week, what one would you recomend man? i know a few can be used (im looking for long lasting most of all)
Well they are micro so nothing will last you yrs of constant use. But if your talking scx24 this should help. Be sure you don’t set pinion mesh to tight and don’t over tighten the wheel nuts or the nut that holds on the spur. You want the spur to have a tiny bit of wiggle.
Now the ecx barrage/rgt motor lasts quite a bit longer and has more torque and control. For a servo the savox sh0350 is a great servo plenty of power and lasts. Last try not to get on the throttle and if you get a tire stuck or something and at half throttle max it don’t move the tires help it. Micro motors don’t take much to over heat and damage the brushes inside. Oh check your diffs for a rubber o ring if there is 1 in the diff remove it they cause a lot of unnecessary friction and problems. Also helps to work in a a bit of good grease in the diffs to.
But if it keeps frying motors easy try one not installed and see if it smokes is a min or less if so call horizon you might have a defective esc. 👊🙂
