- Yesterday, Royal Enfield Motorcycles invited us out to test ride their BRAND NEW motorcycle - the 2024 Shotgun 650! Adri Law and I cruised out to the Motoring Club in Santa Monica with a couple other local writers, riders, and builders to check out their new line up. We also got to ride the new color ways of their existing GT650 and INT650 models. In this video we ride through the hills of Malibu and Topanga Canyon and even get a private tour of the Rock Shop where we learn about some cool Hollywood Biker History. What's your thoughts on these bikes?

62Yo disable Veteran, I just had to give up my heavy Harley last year for a baby Re Hunter 350 so lite just love riding the long Tx country roads. Yes it is NOT a fast bike, but fun to ride & enjoy the last yrs of life
Good for you! Love that. These bikes are so fun no one can deny it
Royal Enfields are very popular in Europe. All models selling in large numbers.
I like this kind of content. I’m always interested to see what other manufacturer’s are making. 👍🏻
Dude! Yes! I have become pretty much obsessed with RE in the last couple years and just got my 1st (Hunter350) as a second bike next to my Indian Scout Bobber …..kinda crazy but that little bike has kinda won my heart it is just so FREAKIN FUN!!! Thanks for this vid…. Yes I probably found you from the custom old school chopper world but I’m super stoked to see you doing a Vid about Royal Enfield🤓
Love that RE got you back for this!
Same!
My favorite bike I've owned was a 1990 Yamaha Virago 1100, wish I still had it. I presently own a 2021 RE Meteor 350 and put a deposit on the Int 650 blacked out version .
After not owning a bike for 40(!) years I bought a Royal Enfield Interceptor almost a year ago. I've had over 4000 trouble-free miles and just put new pipes on it! Love the sound, love this bike!
I love HD, i love Triumph and i love Royal Enfield!!! I have the Super Meteor and it make me to smile each i ride it. The Shotgun is very nice but the Interceptor is fantastic!!!
I have never ridden a Triumph but I want to
@@actuallyitsaxeli’m a novice, a small grasshopper, I can only talk about aesthetics, it’s bikes have old esence.
I forgot I actually rode a Triumph Bobber on a 5 day trip years ago….. hurt me lol
Yo Axel, yeah looks like you had a great day. There's definitely a market out there for these Motorsickles. GT👍.✌️♥️😎🇺🇸
great video Becky! and yes variety is the spice of life, you can't help but smile when you're riding a motorcycle no matter what kind of make or model it is. Diggin the int 650 that flat seat design is classic.
Yep I agreeeeee
Great video, you lead an interesting life. I love the bikes.
I own Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn and the Scram 411, in future I might get the Shotgun, too. Cheers from Germany
Love the video. As a Harley guy myself, I definitely would consider owning a Royal Enfield. I love the cafe racer look. My closest dealer is 45 miles away but now I gotta do that test ride….
I have the 350 Classic and a couple of Himis. Don't really need a 650 but if they do the Classic with the 650 twin, I will be sorely tempted.
Shotgun 650 is a great design look for me Axel
I've been looking into the RE line up for the past year or so, this spring i'll be picking one up for my 1st bike above 75CC!! classic BSA are cool but no go lol. the GT650 and INT650 are the two i like the most they seem to be at best at their price and comparable to the much more expensive counter parts, i do like the styling of the Super meteor and shotgun but after years of wrecking my hips they aren't a good fit for me. i look forward to see what other gems RE has for the future line ups they appear to be on a steady roll world wide and i hope they continue that for years to come.
Good video again,entertaining 👍
Hello Becky i just purchase a Shotgun 650 thanks for the video! Love it......
Beautiful bike👍
Nice video! Good looking bike(rear tail light not so much). Nice music!!!!
Just bought a new RE GT over at SoCal motorcycles in Brea. They have a great sale going on 2023 models.
Always liked royal enfield, have yet to ride one but would def like to have an interceptor 650 in the fleet eventually
The one you mention for flat tracking looks the coolest to my eye. I have a good mate who has a continental gt and he loves it but the rear mounted pegs are not my thing. The new one looks very triumph bobber esk. I haven't seen one in the flesh just first impressions from your vlog with that floating seat over the rear fender.
Great content but not my market, too large for small bikes. I appreciate them all so seeing what you guys like about them is still interesting. Keep being you!
I love that you’re on RUclips. Keep the videos coming!!!🙌🏻
Also what podcasts do you listen to??
Sword and Scale mostly
Loving the banjo music
I like how the Shotgun 650 looks the best. They honestly seem like really good bikes. Simple, yet aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I am sure with a few mods here or there you could definitely make it your own. Like chopping the frame and hard tailing it. haha! nah...well...maybe...👍🏼
Ya excited to see what people do to them
I love the Royal Enfield bikes…..they are beautiful and economical. They have great styling and excellent functionality. I own a HD Heritage, Indian Scout and a RE classic 350 and for day ride I grab the Royal Enfield.
Nice video and I loved the banjo background music!
It’s just iMovie sound effects🤣Still haven’t figured out how to put music on my videos 🤪
@@actuallyitsaxel haha! I ejnoysed it since I am a semi-professional banjo player/Harley Davidson rider (although I did race 250 Husqvarnas and CZs at Saddleback Park, Indian Dunes, and a few other lesser-known spotsin SoCal). Fine job, Becky!
I think RE has been doing some exciting stuff, by bringing affordable and trendy bikes to the market. They’re going for the entry level rider in a way that matters. I personally love small bikes, so I’m excited to see what they force other manufacturers into doing. I already own an SR500 and a Vulcan S so I feel like an Enfield would be a little redundant for me…because honestly I have two bikes that are better at what they do than the comparable RE bike. But they cost more. But Triumph recently put out a smaller bike, if I remember correctly, and Kawasaki just made a new Eliminator and their new ZX4RR. Whether you’re a beginner or a rider who simply wants lighter bikes, there’s great options right now and I think there will be more in the future.
My next bike will probably be a proper dual sport, or a grom. I feel like those are my only options.
I am 65. Thanks for sharing interest in lots of different brands. Just sold my ‘04 Fatboy which I loved. Saw Royal Enfield at Harley dealer. Am VERY interested as a “next phase of life” lighter nimble bike.
Are you going to review the new release from Triumph Speed 400? which will be you first impresions compared with Hunter 350 vs. Shot Gun. Thank you
I've owned many bikes, 7 is that many? Idts. None were RE or HD, but I'm digging the blacked out version flat track style.
There build quality has really improved over the last few years. They don’t make a bad bike.
I am a triumph man myself. Try the bobber if you get the chance. Love mine.
Rode one of those half way across British Columbia and my ass went numb
@@actuallyitsaxel 😂😂 same thing happened to me going from Scotland to Germany. Ended up buying padded cycling shorts. Helped a lot.
🤙🏻
My favorite is the guards red 911, lol
Personally, I’m not crazy about the blacked out interceptors and GT’s, but that gray Shotgun would do it for me.. still, I think I’ll be waiting for the Classic 650
Royal Enfield occupies a very special place in my heart. Exploring northern India on their Bullets was a f*ck'n hoot. Congratulation, great content, Ride Free
I want to do that!
I have friends in Mcleod Ganj, Himachel Predesh, India (where the Dalai Lama lives) who rent Royal Enfields and do supported or unsupported rides. @@actuallyitsaxel

Cute bike cuter gal
The fomo is real!
How can you have FOMO when you were there🤪
A good looking inney one ever told you that you are the real delear Harley Davidson CO # 1. Look up Linda roothe sunny side long Beach went down 78 on Broadway mammas run the show don't you know. (?)
I like bike. Brand doesn’t really matter
Bikes with 650cc engines clearly not for beginners
Should start learning on lightweight bikes like kawasaki , honda or Suzuki with 200cc engines , a couple years on those bikes then slowly get 400cc to 700cc bikes as you need some experience before you take them out
