  • Smeshariki is a Russian animated children’s comedy and entertainment series that aired on the Karusel channel on it’s block called, “TeleMagnet” from 2001-2006. As part of the series, there was a promo with cartoon clips featuring the show’s episodes and characters that were broadcast.
    With Mediterranean songs such as, “Well I’ll be stung by a bee!” “off you go!” And the Greek tune Zurba playing in the background. Also as part of the series, cartoon music videos appeared for the songs, “Short in the head, short in the heart” by a Mentallic, disco, pop, and techno band called, “The band of stinkers.” Among them, “Sex symbol” and “cartoons.”
    The idea of the series was driven with an enormous popularity of 9 styllized round animals which began as a daily riddle in the “TeleMagnet” broadcasts. The action of the series was set in the valley with 4 seasons. Winter, spring, summer, and even fall. Due to it’s popularity, it had spin-offs like, Smeshariki: New adventures,
    Pin-code,
    The ABC’s of learning, etc.
    It even had movies like:
    Smeshariki: team invincible,
    Smeshariki: the legend of the golden dragon,
    And
    Smeshariki: Deja Vu.
    The characters would throw comments such as, “Holy Moly!” (Krash)  “phenomenal!” (Dokko) well ain’t that a stinger! (Barry) due to the success of the series, it began to have a reboot in 2021.
