No matter how much I love our current forward trio, the old days of Suarez, Sturiddge, Countinho, and Gerrard was something else to watch.
I honestly think, back then, they were better then our front 3 now.
@@O_tropos The Fab Four of first half of 18/19 was pretty silky and incredible also. I’m thinking Mo Mané Bobby and Little Magician Couts against Porto etc. It was clever passes, incredible runs, and goals left right and center, front back, up and down. We could have won the league and UCL but for our not quite ironed defense situation.
Are you kidding ? I am not saying the players of the past were not great, they were awesome. But u are comparing them to the trio of salah who guarantees 30 goals per season, 20 goals by Mane and playmaking of Firmino. They won the premier league & champions league, let alone the trio of suarez, Sturridge and coutinho won us nothing and got us to 7th position and 2nd position. dont kid yourself bloke.
@@lanewilliams1556 Salah didnt score 30 goals last season and mane not 20. Also firmino wasnt that great as well. You seriously dont understand that defense wins you titles? How many did suarez and studge score together? But hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I wish you were more mindful of the back 5 then and now, that is a world of difference.

He was good in every season there

Rodgers' work at Liverpool is underrated. No one talks about it. They were genuinely playing like a mid table side under Hodgson and Dalglish and had a woeful squad. He bought some really smart signings, cleared out the deadwood, bought an attractive style of play and nearly won the league in his second season. He was the one that kick started Liverpool's redemption tbh.
Couldn't agree more !
I'd agree with that assessment. He is a bit overlooked.
When Suarez starting to get serious becz being compared to Jelavic
Mainly a change in football style that bought the best of Luis suarez❤

Best Luis Suarez Ive ever seen
he was way better the next season
Next season after this one is better..but he was the best in the world during his prime time..but people always talk about messi and ronaldo
Suarez really did love a goal against Norwich didn’t he
“Nuri Sahin just can’t stop scoring” WOW
Sahin was great whenever he featured but Rodgers for some reason despised the ground he walked on.
I think he scored in the previous match in the league Cup and the Europa league the week before.
@@ryandarbyshire5046 he scored twice in the previous league cup game against WBA but that was it. Never scored for us in any other game
@@DannyBoySmith1993 Apparently they disagreed on what his best position was ... and I think as a loan signing Rodgers didn't want to invest much time in him, which was DUMB ... He was a class player, and we could have probably signed him permanently if he had felt involved.
12/13 Coutinho was the best at through balls I've seen. From then on, he stopped doing them and shot from 30 yards instead.
The next video is going to be pretty long, isn't it?
5 hours of Suarez and Sturridge lol
I hope so 🤘🤣👌
I've never seen anyone nutmeg opponents so consistently and so effortlessly like Luis Suarez. El Pistolero.
This was the first season I supported Liverpool and I remember my first game was suarez diving in front of moyes.
Suarez was phenomenal
The best striker liverpool has had in the premier league era. The ability he possessed to play devastatingly well across the front line and the variety and amount of goals he scored without penalties make him the best for me

Beautiful
Suarez "diving" in front of Moyes is an alltime greate moment
His face was when he didn't see anyone celebrating with him 😢😢
4:24
I remember that, and the best part is that he continued to celebrate, even when he was realised that no one is coming to share a joy.
He makes that gesture because he thought it was "offside" once he realized that it was a goal, he kept celebrating ... it has nothing to do with whether they celebrate with him or not.
@@TheMute. yeah I remember that everyone went to celebrate with the very unlikely assister Carra! When Suarez saw no one was near him celebrating he was worried that it may have been ruled offside.
Jose Enrique is a good example of the difference between players under ordinary managers and players under Klopp. Unfair for me to single out Enrique, because of injury and health problems, but he's like a lot of other players in that they came into the club, showed they were good enough, had something to contribute, but then their progress just stops and they start being marginalised with other players coming into the squad because the manager wants the finished article rather than the seeing that players can always keep learning. Klopp manages a player by saying OK you can do this and this, so the next thing you need to do is this, and once they've done that, he says to them brilliant, now you need to learn to do this.
Even if he has the finished article of a player he still wants them to be able to learn something new.
That's why Jordan Henderson is such a good example of a Klopp player.
Coutinhos linked up well with Sturridge
Suarez still a beast
Downing was the Yorkshire robben
omg 'Yorkshire robben' cracked me up mate lmao xD
Forgot Joe Cole was still playing for Liverpool in this season. lol

Downing playing as DL, Enrique playing as AML hahaha
Suarez and coutinho, always knew they would become world class players since day 1 they played for lfc
Coutinho WAS world class with Liverpool ... but fell away FAR from that the moment he left.
Klopp was right ... stay and become a legend ... Or leave and just be another player. Silly boy Phil ... but thanks for funding our title and CL winning team.
Unpopular opinion: we were BETTER in the 2nd half of 12/13 (from February onwards) compared to 13/14.
Carragher > Sakho. Downing > Moses. Coutinho 12/13 > Coutinho 13/14. Borini > Aspas. Reina > Mignolet. Enrique > Flanagan. We made our squad WORSE in 13/14 but carried on the form we showed in the latter half of 12/13 (largely from the additions of Sturridge and Coutinho) which is why we got more points that season. The only improvements in 13/14 were Sterling’s form and arguably Sturridge had settled even more and had a slightly better goal rate
Back when we had our welsh xavi... miss those days😔
You miss finishing 7th?

I always forget that Joe Cole played for us
Harry Wilson deserves a chance next season. If he doesn't get an opportunity then even Gerrard and Fowler wouldn't have made it into the first team if Klopp was their manager.
