- I finished x-2-2 at YCS Raleigh. I had a great time and learned a lot, there were changes that I'd make but the format will be vastly different.
I hope I made my fish duelists proud!

Ive been told the exact same thing "dude, its my turn" and i just tell them "no comrade, *our* turn" and they either laugh or get annoyed lol good show and i can't wait to see you at the top tables next time
This is the profile I’ve been looking for ever since I saw the commentators mention it on day 2! Ghoti is one of my favorite decks of all time it’s nice to see it still at least have some representation on the YCS stage!

@@Fossil_Dyna Yes I was watching the Joshua Schmidt day 2 stream and before the first feature the casters talked about how (around the beginning of the stream) there was still a variety of decks besides snake eye in the tournament. That’s when the mentioned that there was a Ghoti deck still playing. That’s when I knew: I have to find that list!

Heck yeah proud of you for representing the fish! You mentioned in the video that fishborg is going to be useful for the future of ghoti which I agree, but how do you foresee using it in a white aura build as the one you played for raleigh?
I think it’s better in pure combined with field spell + tidal maybe, haven’t thought about it as much yet

My opponent saying "are you done yet" really leaves me tilted unfortunately. Cool deck but ill just stick to master duel so i dont get flamed
I'm testing an all gas ghoti build. 35 monsters, 3 moray of greed, and 2 white reincarnation. Resolving multiple nimble angler feels so good. Lifefish dump angler grab 2 sunfish. Link off for coral. Shuffle them back with leaf fish and then discard another angler for hapooner or white stingray. Get more fish. It's all gas all the time. I switched out beautuna for 3 deep sea diva and a deep sea sentry for even more extension. Diva getting hand trapped still leaves you with a level 2 water tuner on the board leaving abyss shark live. Also potentially giving ez access to crystal wing in under 5 summons.

Nice idea with Crossout, too. I play it for a similarly funny reason, but for Metaphys. I might have to try it out in ghoti sometime.
Congrats!!! I love this deck so much but I can't make it perform as well as players I see here on YT, with fairly similar builds overall!! Coming from the pure version I think I may be relying too much on the syncro-standard plays, as I used to like searching for snopios in first turn just in case I got nibbed, but I don't know if that's the way with WA. Do you focus that line at any moment? Maybe in duels after siding wheere you could expect more interruptions? Cause focusing those safe plays take resources out of the final board...
Also, I noticed I'm rarely able to banish more than one tuner, Maybe one with keaf on field to get more with tuna, or search zep with a re-summoned arionpos. Is that the standard or I'm just missplaying?
What's your focus on going second?? Cause I rarely see a Zealantis in ghoti profiles and I thought it could be a good tool! Straight up to lvl 8's with whale? I guess if you can make a Zealantis you could've made a couple syncros already...
Aaaahhhh it's a long way ahead, and it'll be changing now with fishborg (mix of hype and vertigo)! Gotta get out of the comfort zone with sharks, and keep going deep beyond with this one tho!

Great list and thanks for sharing. I have tried the White engine but found it not quite working with Shifter nor having a set plan against nib, but I might try it out again once I get my Harpooners. Thank you!
My first build was the shifter friendly build with all 2 ofs, field spell, ixeep etc but I found it inconsistent and the reincarnation kills people who don’t read esp w/ monoceros revive
wind + cards on table = scary
We were 3 stories up above an observatory, the wind wasn’t too bad actually I just live on a tropical island

I love the Ghoti deck when I play it. I actually fully feel your opponents frustration of the are you done yet it’s my turn. Not your fault at all but decks like this, floo, lab can be miserable to play against since you get turn 1 and turn 2 is an our turn situation.

Been trying to get a list going for comp stuff and this is pretty good! I gotta ask, what's your thoughts on Fish Harpooner?
@Fossil_Dyna i totally love your deck. at my locals no one really knows what ghoti is or does. i'm also very happy about the "support" in form of harpooner. think he helps the deck a lot. btw. is there any chance for some advanced help about buildig this deck with harpooner in it? since i've nobody know who playes or even likes the fishs it's nice to have someone how i can talk to.

Hey ! very nice performance ! I play the same decklist without the beautinaful princess because if it gets ash and no water on board then i can't use abyss shark and it's lame. am i missing some interaction here ?

i copy pasted this deck into md and it is really good/fun, would love an update with harpooner ratios. But anyways great job with the fish nation.
have you figured out the ratios since the water/wind event is coming soon, and the deck will probably perform really good
@MrZiuretojas If you're running the White package you probably don't want to run Harpooner. IMO the White package is better. 3 Sardine, 1 Sunfish, 3 Reincarnation. Run 3 Mermaid Shark for extra ways to search the Sunfish.

@MrZiuretojas IDK what you're running but if you have 3 Beautunaful drop those because you want your NS to either be Mermaid Shark or Leafish.
I have to ask am about to change a few cards in my white ghoti deck. I'll be adding fishborg now that is out and mermaid shark. Is it a good change, or should I just leave it as it is i have a similar build as your just that the extra deck i run ice jade

Correct me if I'm wrong but snopios can be dodged. It targets for cost but applies its effect on resolution. I might have misunderstood what they were saying.
You mean Arionpos. Snopios works like Tidal.

What do you think about mermaid shark instead of beautunaful princess? I consider is a good option to search abyss shark and make the white aura combo. I'd really appreciate your thoughts since I'm also a ghoti duelist.
Princess loses to ash, mermaid shark loses to ash and imperm; both are one for one-able, but i think because tenpai and branded are more present in meta ash/ghost ogre are very strong. If you normal mermaid shark and get ogre’d you have no follow up with no body on board. Mermaid shark on its own also cannot typically make anything as a negated monster, really depends on how you feel people will play and side.
You also lose to forbidden droplet of which everyone is running or siding 3

I didn't know Snopios prevented the effects of Ash and Oak. I always use it to target one Flamberge, and then I banish the another one with Askaan, so I get rid of both of them. But the snopios play to target Ash/Oak is completely new to me; I only play Master Duel though.
Anything that sends as cost to GY can’t be activated (snake eyes/diabellestar) under snopios’ condition
I’d rather get rid of flamberge if i have the opportunity with chengying, but also d.d. crow is nuts
Are you thinking the white aura package is worth it? you can play handtraps etc instead
I like white aura bc it allows for more plays and it wins against floo / tenpai

Haven’t tested it, this build currently is really consistent just don’t know tenpai / etc matchups

How would you change this list to include Fishborg? Mermaid Shark included for it's synergy? I'd be keen to see as a fellow fish enthusiast
I think i’d have to mess with it but it might be cutting some more cards for more ghotis, maybe adding some ice barriers for the tenpai matchup / searching gameciel for towers and stuff; less explosive build more of a controlled thing because droplet is also in format

Yes bubble reeef is a big girl. But you must declare the effect everytime she gains. Otherwise you will get penalized

You make marincess bubble reef and during the SP you banish psiics to draw 1 then grab your other pieces you need off the summon (Zep/Snop) and banish whatever you don’t need depending on what’s coming back in SP

I have to play more in person, I played a 6 round locals against 2 tenpai 2 fire 2 random decks, the tenpai matchup feels like aura control since there’s forbidden droplets in format, i might run ice barriers and searchables; unsure
(I went x-1 that locals and the deck performed insane with no changes, not even fishborg/tidal)

I’m presuming she means when Snopios targets a card that makes it get banished instead of go to grave. Opponent then tries to chain and send it before it happens, but damage is already done.

I outed 3 rising rebellion and 2 ulti falcon and he recycled them, we had a 43 minute game 1 into me wobbying him in time after he ashed tuna 😅 i should’ve scooped g1 sooner but it was last round
What cards would you replace for harpooner?
You would need to search for a level 4 Fish using Abyss Shark...
So the only options we have are Silent Angler, Ixeep Ghoti, Minairuka, White Stingray, White Sunfish...

I know friend groups will practice playing quickly without reading effects and they play like its a chess game😂
Tbf if I’m saying effect, revealing sardine and I explain it’s cost and they still try to ash me idk what else to do; i usually just give them the cards to read after explaining it in depth
