This is the first time I have ever seen an IT briefing that was beyond technical. This is an emotional story well told that resonates with many people. I am sure this was not easy to do. Thanks for sharing the awesome presentation.
I'm blown away by the quality here. I recently enjoyed a similar book, and it was top-notch. "Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness" by Jack Frostwell
I usually don't comment on tutorials, but I just had to say, yours was truly exceptional! Your approach to data governance was refreshingly innovative and incredibly clear. Thank you for sharing such valuable insights.
Thank you so much for being so excellent at explaining such a critical subject to organisations. Ill be venturing into setting up data governance for my organisation. This sets me up for success.❤
Awesome video and the way you used the metaphor of your parents' house made it easy to understand! What kind of tech tool are you using to draw on the screen like that? It is amazing!
well done. explained such a dry and seemingly unglamorous topic with great examples that resonate with everyone and thus improving our learning process by doing so.
Thanks you for your explanation, in a couchbase lecture, an attendee asked about data governance in a world of fast development and use and availability of data, like overlook data governance. It is regarding confidentiality of data or monetizing?
1000% like. Every time I visit my parents house (50 years old) I am doing the same, So, it is Data Governance. One thing I would like to add. Parents get annoyed by this data governance.
Thank you for this, this is the most outstanding explanation i have received. Just as you mentioned it was mostly boring..But thanks to you, i have a better foundational knowledge
Thank you for the video. I am just start a start charity but I’m struggling with the government document part. Do you have an email I contact you on? Thanks
I don't understand the difference between policy and rules. I get that your rules help you enforce your policies but the difference is not clear to me. Can someone help?
Policy == Rules , I don’t know if you’re being serious but there you go. The way people try to oversimplify things sometimes makes it sound stupid. But again if you’re thinking about things from a larger scale you might have a bunch of rules, functions or what ever you want to call them influencing how you transform your data with the policy being “Data that’s ready for reporting; building reports or dashboards”
Not at all. Most come from other fields. Lower level you need skills in classification, abilities listening across disciplines, love of cleaning up mess, and strong educational chops.
answer of masking social security number is not correct, because its visibility when required asked in official capacity is everywhere... so.. it needs to be redefined in creating persons own unique identity number with face to be known through out either in their own Nation or even worldwide so it can never be misused...by anybody else. And it streamlines lot of mess chaos of births deaths exact head counts and where should population head count should lessen , where should population move with work offers where head counts are less and so on... the efforts are to bring this mismanagement and messy chaos into neat order...
You have just made one of the most complex topics simple enough such that a child can even understand at a glance!
Excellent work!!
I represent that remark! ;)

Brilliant, we can easily remember the concept because the way you explained the subject was truly impressive ❤

DO i have to be an IT major/ Computer Science major to get into data governance?
Look into data analytics.
No, you do not.

Data governance is nice but what about data provenance!!
I checked this project Irys which is world's first provenance layer.
Awesome
