Okey i give it to you this time. This was really fun. Good choice ! Makes you wish , that even larger battles would be possible ! Just a few historical fun facts : It was Germans who actualy attacked entrenched Soviet Positions in first phase of the battle The fight in some parts of the front. Had tanks shooting eachother in less then 10m of range ! During the battle, thick smoke from fires of the burning tanks descended on the battlefield. Causing some tanks actualy driving past eachother. And since Soviet tanks could not penetrate German armor. They rammed German tanks instead to make them inoperable ! This was a good video :)
Soviet tanks could penetrate German armour, just not the front plates of heavier German tanks like the Tiger or Ferdinand , but the majority of tanks used were ones like the Panzer III and IV and Stugs. Tank ramming did still happen but was primarily reserved for heavier German tanks.
Cool video! Despite being very inaccurate with the vehicles and formations, the cinematics were awsome! During the Battle of Kursk, the Germans burn through t-34 after t-34, however there were too many of them....wave after wave until they can no longer hold.
i mean at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. the point of these videos is to try and somewhat replicate historical confrontations in a fun and entertaining way
Greatest problem for german assault groups were Soviet defensive strongpoints... each strongpoint was full independent, well prepared trenches and fortifications, with plenty of entrenched infantry , well positioned and prepared AT guns, wide mine-fields. Anything that could increase attrition and decrease speed of attacker was there. You can find that this situation revealed that greatest downside of Ferdinand which was that he had no machinegun(later upgraded to version with MG) cause soviet infantry counterattacks was fierce and their crews were able to defend their vechiles only with their own infantry weapons which was pretty risky. :-)
@@nicm.z9868 I would imagine that is only the mist famous because it is the easiest point to consider in a vacuum and is a lot more interesting for people who aren’t interested in learning all the details
Not far off the mark there. Including Case Blue, more casualties happened around Stalingrad than anywhere else in history, totally around an estimated tally of 2.2 million casualties.
People, stop the incessant whining about the inaccuracies and just enjoy the video. Great video Muffin! Battle of 73 Easting maybe sometime in the future?
Some of the tanks weren't in battle of kursk at that time like the IS-1 T 34 85 maybe not even the BT-5 KV-1 L-11 Tiger ll P T 34 1940 but the video itself was very good
How about a rematch, just have read a little a thing or two about the battle of kursk . You might add things but this is my suggestion: USSR: Zis-30 Su-152 ISU-152 KV-1 t-34 1940 Su-76 t-70 Kv-85 Churchill III (ussr) Germany: Flak 88 Pz II Marder 1 Marder 3 Pz 3 Pz 4 Stug 4 Panther Tiger Ferdinand Tank Ratio= 1.2 20 vs 24(ussr) And it was recorded that Ussr had artillery's advantage, which helped them the most. Aside from the tanks you might add 5x BM-13N to simulate the artillery.
Alright Muffin good video but if you're doing this again 1. Noking tiger and super big russian tanks. 2. Add more panzer 4 and 3s and stug 3s . 4. Add aircraft and for Germany only Stukas because Germanys fighters were mostly west. Can't wait to see the next one.
Muffin! My dude! I feel like you should do a similar/the same battle, but have the players compete in simulator battle mode, add some more realism and extra challenge to the whole thing ;)
Always super cool to see massive battles like this, if I didn't have garbage internet I would totally do things like this more 😂 Now we just need a game that can manage getting full 100 player matches, make it as much full on tank battle as possible
0:15 Tiger P spotted, never saw combat. Edit: turns out there was one tiger P deployed at the eastern front, it never fought at kursk and was mainly used as a command tank.
good video! i expected the Germans to win, I guess soviet 152s had did the job, so how will they do against Abrams tank? Please make a video on 152mm spviet ww2 era tanks against the Abrams. 😀
This video does not respect the actual deployment of tanks by the Soviet Union. In fact, I understand that in the various clashes that the Germans carried out to reach Kursk, the Soviet Union, as regards armored vehicles, had at its disposal: t-34 (only in the 76mm version), T-70, KV-1 tanks, SU -76 and SU-122. It would be super cool to see how the game could end with the tanks just listed on the Russian side, while the German side keeps the same tanks except for Tiger 2 and the Tiger (P)from the video. All this, however, with a Soviet/German tank ratio of 3:1 as happened in the same battle of Prochorovka, where only tanks clashed without anti-tank mines or infantry being able to interfere in the clashes. I'll give you the idea for a new video😂. Anyway, congratulations on the wonderful video.
Fun video but didn't the Germans tried to attack at kursk? And the Russians were defending /counter attacking so they also had dug in infantry with anti tank guns.
pretty sure kv2 was not at kursk they used t34s i think the SU tank destroyers also but most effective was the mines and antitank guns the soviets hid pretty well
At Kursk, a total of 259 Panther tanks, about 211 Tigers, and 90 Ferdinands were used. Out of a total of 3,253 Nazi tanks. So 5 panzer 4's, 5 panzer 3's, 1 tiger, 1 panther and 1 ferdinand would be a more accurate ratio. (or no ferdinand, there were so few) For Soviets 25 SU-152, 56 SU-122 and 67 SU-76 we used in Kursk out of 7,360 tanks. So we could have just 30 T 34 (1942)'s. Also there were no Tiger 2P's or T 34 85's in kursk. In this video tigers/panthers make up the majority of the Nazi forces which is inaccurate. Ok rant over
Hardly historical tiger 2 was not at kursk neither was t34.85
Don't forget the Tiger P
Yeah I plan on doing it again with more players and strictly the right kind of vehicles in the future
this is more for giggles
@@ThunderWithMuffin tho it was unrealistic the video was still great. Keep up the good work
@@EmperoroftheVoid they did send one Tiger P as a command tank
You're doing great Muffin! Keep up the hard work mate. Love seeing fellow tankers succeeding

Theses are awesome! Can’t wait to see more like this in the future!
I'm coolvinxd, i remember this was like 6 players per event, i participated in the first 2 events. you have blown up in popularity, im proud!
It was an absolute blast to take part in this event! Although regretably my charge in the stug didn't exactly contribute...
Why would you charge in a StuG though?
@@F-4E-58-MC Because this was a silly event for silly ideas. Like charging in a stug.

You had a lot of vehicles on both sides that were not available at the time of the Kursk battle in that video still entertaining to watch.
Yeah I realized that after finishing most of the vid but glad you enjoyed it
That tiger 2 death part the way he appear and die from the side and last panther stand was great
your doing great muffin cant wait for the leos vs panthers to Knight btw you have outdone yourself with the cinematography
This is an amazing idea! I'm so happy I found this channel.

nice vid im the guy who was in the SU 100Y

Kursk is probably one of the most epic tank battles but stalingrad was the most epic and bloody battles of all history time

Some of the tanks weren't in battle of kursk at that time like the IS-1 T 34 85 maybe not even the BT-5 KV-1 L-11 Tiger ll P T 34 1940 but the video itself was very good
the t34/1940, BT-5 and im pretty sure the KV1 L-11 all fought in kursk
We had fun making it even if it wasn't historical accurate
with the music thats even more epic
I really like your videos keep it up❤️
How about a rematch, just have read a little a thing or two about the battle of kursk . You might add things but this is my suggestion:
USSR:
Zis-30
Su-152
ISU-152
KV-1
t-34 1940
Su-76
t-70
Kv-85
Churchill III (ussr)
Germany:
Flak 88
Pz II
Marder 1
Marder 3
Pz 3
Pz 4
Stug 4
Panther
Tiger
Ferdinand

And it was recorded that Ussr had artillery's advantage, which helped them the most.
Aside from the tanks you might add 5x BM-13N to simulate the artillery.
This is a great list
nice and early for a cool battle
the Germans had only tanks.but the Russians had planes, mines and serious anti-tanks...
the ones chasing the tigers weren't actually t-34s....
Take a look at the battle of Prochorovka

this is so cool!!!!
In tank crew su152 removes tiger Panthers Ferdinand pretty easily with HE ammo
Players on German team, remember to "spread out", not in one location getting hammered by HEs shells like cockroaches
What a cracking channel this
KV-1 L11 vs Ferdinand = Balance
Would love it if the germans elected the Porsche tiger as a command vehicle as that’s what that specific version was used for irl

One thing I noticed: IS-2’s weren’t around until almost a year after Kursk
And tigor 2’s weren’t used till Normandy

At least to my knowledge 🙂

The Soviets would have used the KV-1 (ZiS-5), because the KV -1 got that gun in 1941, and kursk happened in 1943
How can I join in and do 3 Ah1z vs 200 MAUS vs 500 m60’s
You should only use the tiger 1 only the tiger 2 is to much and didn’t take part at the battle against the t-34
Bm-13n long range Battle pls🙏🙏
The Germans didn't have Tiger 2's at Kursk.
next modern vehicle?
At kursk historically the germans where on the offensive while the russian had dug in to hold the pocket from closing
You guys should do the six day war or 73 easting
Angle the tigers!
Where are Maus and IS-3? You didn't take enough tanks from the future for the Battle of Kursk.
actually it isnt largest tank battle in history
What is that battle music?
When was this event?
Awesome video! You guys should invite HerrmanTheeGerman to participate sometime! He's a really good player/RUclipsr and might like the opportunity.
Leopard video when ? XD

Meh , too many tigers and Panthers in proportion to the main german force back then... also shouldn't the germans be advancing if they're invading?
I was reading tigers, panthers were primarily the ones used along with Ferdinand’s, no?
hello how can i play battles like these?
Fun video but didn't the Germans tried to attack at kursk? And the Russians were defending /counter attacking so they also had dug in infantry with anti tank guns.
i wish i can join im about to get the kv1S

At Kursk, a total of 259 Panther tanks, about 211 Tigers, and 90 Ferdinands were used. Out of a total of 3,253 Nazi tanks.
So 5 panzer 4's, 5 panzer 3's, 1 tiger, 1 panther and 1 ferdinand would be a more accurate ratio. (or no ferdinand, there were so few)
For Soviets 25 SU-152, 56 SU-122 and 67 SU-76 we used in Kursk out of 7,360 tanks. So we could have just 30 T 34 (1942)'s.
Also there were no Tiger 2P's or T 34 85's in kursk.
In this video tigers/panthers make up the majority of the Nazi forces which is inaccurate.
Ok rant over
