The weather was springlike when I departed Saint Louis. The temps were in the upper seventies with clear skies, affording us a great view of the city below. We take off to the southeast with a turn to the south shortly after liftoff. While making out 180 degree turn to the northwest, we see the skyline of downtown Saint Louis come into view, with the small glimmer of light being the gateway arch. We continue over the Missouri River and the far western exurbs of the city as we approach cruise altitude.
