Those clips are supposed to prevent the filter assembly from floating up. I use rocks to hold mine down.

Can someone use the water for plants
I usually just pump the sludge tank , is this something I should be doing regularly and is there an additional charge?
Most of the aerobic tanks we service are in need of the full system cleaned out.
How often should this cleaning be done on a system like this?
The filter= once or twice a year. The pump out = once every 3 to 5 years. However, the white plastic filter assembly is very fragile so some maintenance companies try to skip that important step.
