I come back to this video once a month to rewatch the steps. All of my family and wife's family go nuts for these cinnamon rolls, saying they are way better than cinnabon every time. I'm currently making some more because my wife requested it for her mothers day breakfast. Thanks for the great recipe!
I made this this morning and they couldn’t bake fast enough! Such a beautiful dough. I added whipping cream to bottom and drizzled over the top. Omg they poof up huge! And we’re so delicious! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!
I followed your every advice! After the cooked result, everyone was shocked that these buns were not bought from the store. Me too🙈 They were so soft, moist, it was hard for me to believe that I managed to do it. Thank you very much! Now I will follow you more often, because you have inspired me with great confidence in you. I want more of your recipes!!!😭💔
i just loved it. i'd watched the first cinnamon roll video and thought "oh, i don't have a mixer... it's gonna be difficult for me to do it", but now, with this second no need kneading video, i'll definitely make this recipe. thank you for all those tips. there are so important for a great result.
Time and time again I this is my go-to recipe for the best cinnamon rolls. This recipe is simple, even for a novice baker. My young children can make these with minimal guidance.
I agree with you about the cream cheese frosting. I have been making cream cheese frosting for my cinnamon rolls for years and I have friends that want a little cream cheese frosting with their cinnamon rolls and others want a little cinnamon roll with their cream cheese frosting. 😊
I watched your video of how to make cinnamon rolls with your friend prior to this one, I love the way you made cream cheese frosting, it looked so good, I’ve never seen it done that way before. That being said, I did notice however that the rolls did not puff up even though they looked cooked, that is due to over proofing the dough the second time.
I struggled with rolling and shaping the dough. The rolls were really ugly but they also tasted so good. My family isn’t a big fan of cinnamon so I made 1/4 of the dough cinnamon rolls and the rest chocolate, red bean and coconut rolls. I still have left over for Christmas morning, totally will make this again!
Wooww!! This is such a perfect timing coz im gonna make one this weekend. Just a question though, is it ok not to release the air on the dough after proofing for 1 hour? Hope you notice me. Thanks :)
Hi there yes it’s fine not to release the air after the first hour since the dough will continue proofing after it goes in the fridge. I’d do it before shaping it, hope you like them!! 😉
Well thanks for sharing your recipe :) like i said i made the cinnamon rolls last night. I made the no knead cinnamon and the one that needs kneading. Both are so soft and my family loves it. More power to your channel :)
I noticed you didn't use your tip from the other video for making the dough easier to get into a rectangle. It was the helpful hint of putting the dough in a rectangular pan and letting it set in the refrigerator. Can that be incorporated into this recipe, and if so, at what point would you do it?
Yes you can definitely incorporate that tip into this recipe, I didn’t do it in this video because I got lazy and didn’t want to wash an extra dish 😬 but it’ll definitely be helpful if you do since the dough is very soft, I’d also recommend freezing ( not till frozen solid just hard enough but still pliable) the dough for 20-30 mins prior to rolling out too it’ll be easier to work with.
Ah lady you're killing me! I even have ALL these ingredients! But it's really hot here too. No air. Use to make them as a kid but your version looks so much easier. And we do still love them. My daughter doesn't like to cook. Her ex did that. So now her and her 3 kids got used to buying stuff. Walmart. The oldest will cook tho thank God. But he moved away to college so...🙄 I'm gonna try to sneak this one in. Thank you! Hope it cools off some for you. Be safe. I subbed🙏🕊️💓🍥 I know that's a fish cake. I'm pretending😈😉
I have no experience in baking outside of chocolate chip cookies and Betty Crocker cakes. Trying this for Father’s Day breakfast. Is it pretty safe for good results with a small margin of error?
I’d say so, you just gotta pay attention to a few things then you should be good! 1. Make sure your yeast is well and alive, you can do this by blooming it in the wet ingredients for 10-15 minutes, if it foams up on the surface it’s good to go 2. Make sure the dough is well proved. You can do the poke test or take a pic of what it looks like before and after so you can compare and see how much it’s grown. 3. The dough is gonna be pretty soft and hard to work with I’d recommend you freezing the dough ( not till solid, it should be kinda hard but still pliable so you can roll it out) before shaping ( check out my first cinny roll video I have a more detailed explanation on how to do it ) 4. GOTTA HAVE LOTS OF FROSTING ( lol jk you get to decide how much to put on it )

Me who finished kneading the dough at 1:50am : 😳 I cut the recipe by 3rd because my family doesn't like cinnamon 🙄 and i kind of eyeballed some of the ingredients, and the dough was kneadable so i added A BIG splash of water to match the texture and it was like pancake batter 😢 i saved it with MORE flour and its finally like yours 🎉 and now i will have 5 instead of 4 rolls 🙌
@@WhatWeEatTonight Finally tried making these. Was pleasantly surprised at how fluffy it turned out without the kneading and with minimal fuss. Thanks again for the recipe!
Also, since you’re the cinnamon roll guru (you’ve made lots of them :)) I have a challenge for you. Could you please make a good version of these but gluten free?? I love these but I need to cut back on regular flour. I’ve been using oat flour on lots of things.
I followed the recipe and my dough was too sticky and very difficult to work with and roll out. I ended up putting it in a loaf pan and calling it a day. What could I do differently?
you can either add a little more flour ( sometimes the dough will get very sticky because every brand of flour absorbs different amount of liquid ) or try freezing the dough in a sheet tray a little bit, check out my tips for cinnamon roll video where I explained more about it, I also have a video on basic bread making at home where I explained what to do if the dough is too sticky, hope it helps!
I know you mentioned they’re for your parents but COME ON……… NO TASTE TEST FOR US?!?!?!? I just finished watching your $.89 Cinnabon video. How would you say the these here compare (taste) to real Cinnabon ones?
