I was told at my job that if I did not call a man by she that I was not being kind. I asked how it was kind or doing anyone a kindness by lying. I said how is THAT person kind by insisting everyone lie for his feelings. I was told I was old fashioned and a bigot that I was being insensitive and denying his right to be a person. Heaven help us all when lying is considered an act of kindness.

He is challenging the Canadian government which is in quite a mess. I have no urge to go there anymore. Thanks for bringing up the need for honesty. He was once an atheist, but no more...watch the video with Bishop Barron and Peterson... the Holy Spirit is working miraculous in Peterson's heart and soul. I am a fan also and I believe Jesus is using him to open up hearts and please pray for him and his family. Lord spare me from the ignorance and sin. Thank you for unpacking this Gospel, Fr Mike. So often we hear the story, we know that we have heard it before and we become prone to distraction during Mass (especially during longer readings). But the transformation that took place, the evolution of the faith of the blind man after he was touched by The Son of God is right there, nestled in the verses - man, prophet, rabbi and then Lord. May the Lord continue to use you as a mouthpiece to the world for His Glory!

A point that Fr. Mike was making is that strangely enough, the sporting world may likely settle this issue, simply due to the obvious inequity of men participating in women's sports. While Thomas' competitive swimming results were lower after taking hormone medication, it was clear that his results in all events were much better while competing in women's swimming events compared to men's events. Although he won an NCAA swimming championship competing against women, his best was 65th when competing against men before taking hormone medication (according to Wikipedia). It is ludicrous that we need to debate this issue, which only a few years ago would have been considered a preposterous concept. God created man and woman and while certain physical aspects can be altered medically, others such as chromosomes cannot. The discussion is preposterous because our culture allows and even encourages a person to become the sex that they identify with, rather than the sex that God intended for them.
