Thank you, Shreyas! This was a treat to watch. So beautiful staying in a cottage so close to the jungle with those animals right on your doorstep. Reminds me of Dhikala rest house at Corbett N.P. Hello, Thanks 🙂. Regarding the rates on website, that is only for the accommodation. Thanks Prakash...🙂 Hope you enjoy the stay.... Regarding gypsy, if the government vehicle isn't available online, just try once at the safari booking place before proceeding to the cottage, probably 1 or 2 gypsy might be available for offline booking also, and in that case if you are ahead of time, maybe an hour and half before safari you might get lucky. Also, weekdays are better, it's mostly not available on weekends, unless booked online.... another option is JLR jeeps, maybe it's possible to tag along with them just for safari, but again it depends on the guests staying in JLR. You can enquire at jlr campus which is just after the safari point, enroute to the Bandipur stay area.

It's generally safe, but you need to keep in mind that this place is in the middle of forest, and after sunset it might be a scary experience especially going to dining area, infact you are not supposed to come out of room after 7, except for dinner. Some accommodations like vanashree is close to dining area and give a secure feeling. But this is not the place to let kids loose to play and all, they will restrict and it's risky. Can I reach there on my bike? Is it safe to ride a motorcycle there?

Yes, ofcourse one can ride on bike to bandipur and it's safe. There were a group of 15 bikers who had booked a dorm during my stay. Bike parking is in the same area as cars.
It depends, if you want to stay closest to dining area, then vanashree is good and better for families. Others like kolika, cheetal, papiha, harini are closer to the forest.

the forest dept took a big risk by escorting you all on foot, with the tiger just a few meters away! this must be brought to the knowledge of forest senior officers so that it does not get repeated again. A vehicle must be used for transport after dark within the campus.
Utter nonsense.. in animal kingdom humans trying to be oversmart and bold.. leopards being the fastest animal, they can be on you before you realize.. and there were kids well.. better sense needs to prevail..

I am trying hard to book this accommodation, do you have any contact who can help the website is not very helpful now a days
Unfortunately online booking is the only way as far as I know.
the forest dept took a big risk by escorting you all on foot, with the tiger just a few meters away! this must be brought to the knowledge of forest senior officers so that it does not get repeated again. A vehicle must be used for transport after dark within the campus.
Yes, they used to have an electric vehicle within the campus and they need to introduce it again.
Utter nonsense.. in animal kingdom humans trying to be oversmart and bold.. leopards being the fastest animal, they can be on you before you realize.. and there were kids well.. better sense needs to prevail..
Pls follow Kenneth Anderson trials
It's been a long time
Sure, will plan....hope you have checked my Manchi ride vlog.
When is the good time to visit?
For wildlife sightings Feb-May is best, but to stay in the guest house, all year round is good ....
