You dont know how much i appreciate this video Jodi, as a fellow girly that has dealt with acne on and off it feels so comforting to know that its just something that many of us go through! Hey Jodi, I have felt more drawn to your content over the past year. I realized we had a lot of things in common. I also really enjoy your demeanor and humor. As someone who has struggled with acne my entire hormonal life? LOL Essentially, since I was 13. It has been very comforting to see some of the people I look up to and admire, work through similar situations. Thank you so much Jodi for sharing these bits of your life that are typically not mentioned. I wish you the best of luck with your skin. I'm sorry for how uncomfortable It must be. I understand how hard it is to move on with life when your face struggles. But I hope you know, you're not alone and this content likely resonates with many other girls.

Hey Jodi, I cried watching this. Just last night, I ranted to my bf how bad I feel and how ugly I see myself now because of my acne rash breakout due to hormonal imbalances, I've tried so many things to hopefully find a solution, but still at a lost. I've been told to accept it as it is, but because I am aware that my skin can be better, its so frustrating. I just hope it does not affect the way I love myself, because it does. It's so difficult when you see someone you ate when you look in the mirror.
Thank you so much for sharing this, you slayed so hard btw.

you have no idea how much this means to me, i always look up to you and so many of the girls in OTV (+ friends) and knowing now that something i struggle with you struggle with too brings me so much relief. I know many people idolize big creators and it can be really unhealthy, but creators like you who show these imperfections help prevent that unhealthy idolization as well as helping better connect with your audience. we love you

I’ve also been dealing with seemingly untreatable acne for YEARS. I recently had an allergy bloodwork panel done bc I’m sick of it and I am starting to think it’s something systemic. I was positive for 3/5 of the antibodies for celiac. Never had stomach issues and still don’t. Stopped eating gluten and ngl my skin is NOTABLY clearer. And when I have something with gluten like cake or something, I break out within a few days and it continues for like a week before it calms down again and starts to heal. Obvs can’t diagnose anything but girly if you’re as desperate as I was, try that celiac & allergy panel.

I totally feel that. I found out dairy made mine worse but I basically had an allergy to plain milk...If I eat cheese I'm fine and icecream I can have a bit. 💁‍♀️ (I have adult acne, probably from an initial allergic reaction to a face mask/antibiotics.).

You might have fungal acne aka folliculitis 😢 that's what I have on a part of my cheek😞. Check for ingredients that cause that if that's the culprit. Also, food.... you might be allergic to certain kinds of food. Have a food diary, so you know exactly what you're eating to know what's triggering breakouts. I would also suggest using your red light every day or every other day to have consistent results. When I use mine everyday, I notice clearer skin more consistently. And most importantly... know that you're beautiful!❤✨

Offering my two cents, feel free to ignore. There is a condition that most doctors dont know or care about called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). I've been following you for a couple of years now and random rashes, random pain flares, menstrual issues and disturbances, are just some of the issues associated with it. It really affects everything. I'd feel bad if I didn't at least mention it once because it really isn't talked about leaving many to suffer unkowingly. I know it can be annoying for people to throw possible answers at you when you have tried everything already so dont worry this will be the only comment I'll ever make on it lol. Good luck Jodi!

I suffered from terrible acne more than half my life. Constant acne, not flare ups. So I feel your pain. For me it did not matter what cleaning agents I used. After talking with a specialist they confirmed that if the problem was actually with my glands (which they expected), I was never going to be able to stop that with skin products. In the end I was prescribed an isotretinoin treatment.
That was a terrible time. Everything chapped, they had me do regular blood work to make sure my liver values stayed on track, and I was not able to finish the entire course. But I am glad the specialist put me through that. It has not cleared up completely, but my face has been basically acne free for years now.
Not for everyone, but for anyone reading who also has a really bad time, please go and talk with your doctor and see if oral medication isn’t more suitable than topical (over the counter) ointments!

I had cystic acne then post accutane i had the same acne as this. Rashy. I went to a new derm after a year and a half and started a retinoic acid cream of .05. Not to be confused with a retinol. My skin purged like crazy for a month straight but now i am relatively clear besides the odd pimple during my period. Anyway i know it’s annoying to receive unsolicited advice on ur acne so apologies. Love ur content! Xoxoxo

if it's hormonal acne, just a tip from one girl to another with hormone issues. I take myo&d-cryo inositol, and it seriously seriously seriously helps me.
