It's a pity that Michiru Yamane's music remains familiar only to the retro-gamers' community. This is a magnificent Baroque-styled piece which could be rated highly in the whole world!
@@jorgitoislamico4224 What he said was really clear. Sometimes people like to get known for specific things rather than to get known for everything or other things.
I remember playing this level when I was like 6. It was a gloomy/rainy-ish kinda day. Thought to myself...I've actually made it this far and this weird music for this jungle level. Then everything turned red and skeletons came out! O_O! I pressed on like a champ...
@@BIastProcX @Maurex Retrovision I'd say CV4's soundtrack is good for way different reasons. It's very strange. While most other Castlevania soundtracks focused on a more melodic style reminiscent of baroque music or even 80s metal, harmonies and dark/epic melodies, CV4 focused on sound textures, atmosphere, ambiance and even improvisation. I can't say I could enjoy it on its own outside of the game (unlike the soundtrack to the NES trilogy, Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood, what have you); still, I must admit that I like that they tried something different and it makes Castlevania 4 stand out.
i absolutley love this soundtrack i grew up watching my older cousin play the game but i never got to play it myself this game helped shape me and i'm sad to say my grandmother gave the game away :(
If you have access to Steam on PC, or a Nintendo Switch, then the Castlevania Anniversary Collection has this and other classic-style titles in the franchise, including the entire NES franchise, two of the GameBoy entries, and more! A great way to re-live those classics.
While I am not a fan of music being altered, I appreciate diversity, and I personally favor this version over the original. This rendition sounds more ethereal and regal, emphasizing its title more effectively.
"Versailles" turns into "Verdun" in fountain...also a new tragedy buried in "Versailles"... "This is not peace,it's an Armistice for 20 years..." - Ferdinand Foch
sounds like this one game who u play secretly play in church with ur parents on sunday, cuz the music is like similiar as the church music so no one will regognize it that ur actually gamign
The Silhouette Demon pillar gives me willies. The Princess of Moss looks pretty at first glance, but when she changes to that ugly moth form, pest control time! I would like this on Devil Forgemaster Hector's or Alucard's future Smash stage.
Do you think that Versailles staff should hire a better gardener for the excessive flora grownth after John & Eric finished off Antionette's mutant insect duplicate? And this question is for after the war in 1918...
She who fell before the Reign of Terror... Like her husband. Robespierre was indefinitely mad with power. The Republic of Virtue never would have came... no matter how long the Reign continued...
Genesis sounds much better on real hardware. There is a good sound emulator called Nuked, not only emulates the YM2612 at low level, even the artifacts produces by the 12 bits DAC and the low pass filter.
Still in the Genesis VS SNES debate after all this time? SNES has organ sounds as well. Nintendo won over Sega LOONG time ago, and that's a FACT(Disclaimer: I don't hate Sega)
Sure the genesis had a shit soundchip, but god damn Konami knew how to rock it! Bloodlines soundtrack is up there with Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Rocket Knight Adventures. It's amazing.

But if that's what she wants to be known for and happy with it, that's not a problem. The gaming industry is quite big actually.
@@AnimeKawaiiFantasyGameMusic I don't think that's what he meant

I mean she did work on Portrait of Ruin

Salute
The jungle is supposed to be in Paris.
My fave song from Bloodlines!
OK. That's intense Gothic music!!!
One of the best Castlevania games ever made. Great gameplay and breathtaking soundtrack. Wish somebody would make a remake of this game :(
i love this song, it has such a great feel to it. i love the classical feel in this one
this level had my most hated enemy, those DAMN SWINGING VINE BUG THINGS!!!!!!
Death Swingers
SOTN and Bloodlines have the best music in the series. This is simply exquisite for 16-bit
Don't forget about Castlevania 4. It also has phenomenal soundtracks.
@@maurexretrovision Tbh there aren't many memorable SCV 4 music aside from Simon's theme, that's why I prefer the others
SCV 4 soundtrack is a bit more ambient but still good

Your forgetting Rondo of Blood my guy
@TheMoi it's not a surprise since Michiru Yamane composed the OST for both Bloodlines and Symphony of the Night.
Definitely my favorite video game soundtrack.
i absolutley love this soundtrack

You notice how crystals replace hearts in this game? It's not a stretch to imagine that if this game had money, it would take the shape of rings.
love this song, i think youre right about this song, there are some motifs that sound like Wood Carving Partita from SOTN
you mean Wood Carving Partita from SOTN sounds like this one.

the rose pollen wasnt an issue at all. more annoying were those things that swung back and forth when you hit them

@@R.P.Pyotrsovich Maybe so.
the Silhoette Demon should be a Stage Hazard in Smash 6.
Damn roses, with their "LOL U WAK FUNNI" pollen.
those immortal skeletons...
Are called Blood Skeletons in Castlevania lore.
castlevania games always have such good music
cultured
This could have been used in Symphony of the Night as well. A future instalment calls for this song (as well as a new protagonist or two)
Not even dracula disliked this, because it's so awesome
Dracula disliked it NOW.
Dracula: *disliked*
John Morris and Eric Lacarde: ahhh shit, here we go again...
Wounderful
Show de bola esse Castlevania trilha sonora top.

Michiru Yamane
the master
i want a remakeeeeeeeeeeeee, this is the best castlevania ever made
Are you sure about that? Even if you don't prefer SCV IV, surely you can't think BL is better than Rondo of Blood.. can you?
I got the midi for this and slowed it down in Logic.....it sounds a lot better IMO. Great music.
Queen of moss !!! :-))
Sounds like Wood Carving Partita was a remake of this somehow...
Thanx... Ohhhhh Bloody mary???
This song just baroque the game...
get the ROM and play it, worth it, damn fun.
what kind of music is this? I mean what century had this type of music,, 16th-17th?
Bach stuff
Why make a remake? It's perfect already. Hate it when people remake stuff. Just leave it alone.
The Queen of Moss is also the Spirit of Marie Antoinette.
Drolta resurected her spirit to fooled John Morris for a trap revealing herself as large mothra like insect inside of her flesh.
@dragonpullman It reminds me of harpsichord too.
Where's the consistency? Mark it Stage 5 goddamn.
I would agree with ya, but an update to this game wouldn't be a bad idea. We already have the original game, so what is their to lose?
One person disliked this. Now I also think this is bad.. Damn you, random person! :(

I liked this level, but the pollen was not so fun.
The Atari Jaguar is 64 bit. Do the math.
This is the original.
Hah! I am 666th viewer....! Oh Dead Gummit! Someone got it before me. Well at least I am 669th viewer lol.
this doesn't sound like Genesis
Edit: 5 years later I think I meant this in a good way

it is. I had this game in the 1990s
This would fit so well in Symphony of the Night (i know theyr from the same composer)
Stage 3 was imo the worst stage by far
Also pretty terrifying especially as you could fall of a platform at any time.

MAXIMUM OVERDERP!
...So? I don't see your point...
Sega is so much better than Nintendo, the Genesis was out allready in the 16th-17th century.
lmao
I love Castlevania Bloodlines... but man do I HATE this stage. Awesome music though, lol
