This would be John Morris' final adventure before his death as explained in Portrait of Ruin. This song represents the final push of our hero, claiming the victory just before giving his last breath.

@OnafetsEnovap It's not so much one destined user as a destined family of users. Reason being explained in Lament of Innocence. However with great skill and force of will, the user can coax out the full power without risk to self such as Jonathan did in Portrait of Ruin when he challenged the spirit of the whip and proved himself worthy. I think the way it's handled is pretty cool

@@xBlaster I already said "However with great skill and force of will, the user can coax out the full power without risk to self such as Jonathan did in Portrait of Ruin." That said if I recall correctly the "Holy Whip" that Curtis Lang uses isn't even the Vampire Killer anyways since Julius is still wielding it at the time. But I've only ever read a synopsis of the novel and never the novel itself so I don't know if he ever does try to use it in said novel. If he does just refer back to the answer I initially posted. I also don't know if the novel is even canon anyways but in any case it shouldn't matter since the explanation covers it if it does.

What is sadder is that both John Morris and Eric Lecarde have tragic deaths happen after Dracula's defeat where John died due to his wound and was unable to unlock the power of the vampire killer and Eric had to lose his life and witness his daughter as a vampire. Let's see, 8-way whipping and the ability to use your whip to swing on hooks Bionic Commando style.
Does Bloodlines have that? "NO", I say!

The leaning tower of pisa in the background? Yeah. Amazing how much the Sega genesis could do despite being "inferior" techwise to the SNES. Either way, the Genesis had amazing games, as did SNES, but I'm glad I was a Sega kid.

When does this happen? I've played it on an emulator before, and I don't remember the whip character swinging on anything.
That still doesn't change the fact that there are only about 3 continues and that's it. That's the problem.

That's a lame excuse. "SCIV bored me." SCIV in and of its own right is a damn good game, like I've said in the first post I made on this video. Both had good music, both had good gameplay. When it came down to which to choose to like more, it came down to preference.

l Think bloodlines has better level designs than SCIV but SCIV has got better gameplay
also the bosses in Bloodlines are really imaginative compared to other castlevania games
