This video has everything: the fashion, the “hey man”, the sharpening of the blade, the detailed explanations, the spunk, the attention to detail, the details about tying off the threads, and just overall excellent, masterful work. I bought a sewing machine to hem some of my pants and remember having a hell of a time. I think I should use some glue in the process to make things easier. Of course, I do prefer the shoe content, but the bag content just shows your amazing talent with a sewing machine among other things. I hate bobbins as well. I think that the patina on the bottom is warranted because of the age of the bag. Brilliant work as usual!
Same here. Good practice for non disposable blades. If you can sharpen these thing blades, you'll have a much easier time getting an edge on thicker blades.
Hello Steve 🙋🏽. HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY TO YOU ‼️ IT IS SO GOOD TO SEE YOU TODAY ‼️ I JUST REALIZED I MISS YOUR SHOE REPAIR RECENTLY. BUT I'M STILL GOING TO WATCH IT. HAVE A BLESSED DAY ‼️👍🏽❣️. BEAUTIFUL JOB STEVE 😃
Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Steve I have never commented before but have been watching from the Uk for a couple years now. I am an ex Royal Navy sailor of 30 years and I’m not in your field of work. I find your videos very interesting and I like your teaching of how your trade should be done. I just wanted to say Thank you for the effort of putting your content out there and I look forward to every video you put out. So again thank you and I wish you good health and a fantastic second half of the year. You are appreciated i. Dominic
You turned this bag into a beauty again, and it was looking a little beastly before your masterful hands and sharp blade restored it to its former glory! Great work Steve! Lisa
Steve, when you pulled out that big sharpening stone.. I knew it was coming and I started laughing out loud….😂 Trigger Time!!! It’s been a long, long day man. I needed that. Thank you.
I smile when I see you, my Son-in-Law is from the Lebanon (now living in Australia) and we travel from the U.K. every year to see them. When he sees me, he is obsessed with my leather bags and shoes and wants to know where I get them from - he just loves good leather products - as do I … I particularly love Vintage The Bridge Italian leather bags, I have far too many of them (according to my husband!) - when he starts paying for them, only then can he comment!!!! I do obsessively look after them, always clean, moisturised and polished. I think nothing looks worse than leather shoes that aren’t polished and in good order. Shoes can make or break an outfit. I really love watching you work - many thanks …
I truly am tired, I worked almost big part of today in my garden, exhausted I heard you say this is a Hoochie purse and then looked again, it was Gucci. Anyways. I wouldn't buy either the Louis Putain nor the Hoochie one. But I do like your humor and it relaxes me. cheers!
As always, great job Steve. Really liked what you did with side panels & finished off the bag superbly. Love seeing vintage bags being restored & giving their owner many more years enjoyment.
21:10 Agree with you on the plan A. Even though I'm not big on "branded" bags, the value of these comes from the branding itself, so if you replace it with a "copy" of the original, you loose part of it's appeal and originality...
I love the sound of your sewing machine, it is so robust. I think I know why you start work so early in the mornings now. It's because your power supplier makes you use it when there is low demand. 😁
A classic example of re-thinking a project to preserve its provenance by keeping it as original as possible. A complement to our craftsman and the lady who knows a keeper when she wears one. This second-life bag will go everywhere…
Wauw nice job... Yes that spool... normal machines for cloths etc has always such little spools... I hate it too. So before I start a project I make sure I have made a few spools before hand. Because it's making me grumpy when you have to make a new spool. I bought about 30 spools extra for that purpose... lol I am really in shock... I thought you controlled your machines with your mind. Nope just like all of us you use your foot... so disappointed... lol I dont know why people are triggered by you sharpen your blade... I mean... whata wrong with it??? I don't know... It's good for the environment as you can use your blades so much longer. Because of you I am sharpen mine now too... goes a long way now... thank you. You are simply the best... big hugs from Belgium. When did you say you come visiting me???
Oh I was laughing so hard , I was noticing your watch as you started to comment about it. I was thinking hey that is a different one than worn with the Louboutin shoe video You are a master craftsman breathing new life into well loved favorites pieces of clothing and accessories. Cheers
Steve! Well done good sir! You easily added another 20 years life to the bag. Always a red letter day when I see one of your videos pop up! Cheers from (a very hot) Texas!
I change my blades because they are cheap and handy. If they are a long walk away, I make do. Maybe do an episode where you keep changing blades to see if you can trigger the other side of the coin ;)
Nice result Steve....I agree with "Plan A".....looks good. Love the sharpening "triggering".... I laugh every time 'cause I know "The Voice" comes next. LOL
Me remembering nearly all the bags from the jag collection COPYMAXS other apartment on the dimond tray.. I think I watched that video like 40 times. Purse collection goals.
Hi! It's been a long time since I've watched your videos, for some reason they were not popping up on my notification. It was recommended by YT. Glad I found you again! What an amazing job you did! That[s a whole brand new purse. Such tedious work! Well done!
I just never thought I would sit and watch a video like this but I find myself looking for the next one. I think someone as skilled as you are just makes it interesting whether it's something we thought we would never watch or not. That speaks very high of your skill level. Keep doing what you're doing and I'll keep watching and waiting on the next one
I finally finished watching this now I was super busy at work reason it took so long to watch 2 reasons first it was work second I kept playing back the part where you tried so gallantly to pick up your leg to show off the shoes I was rolling. But I have to confess if I would have tried i probably would have pulled a muscle in my ass and crapped on myself...man I'm still laughing and its midnight already. As always your still the man.
Beautiful work Steve. Those sides will be stronger at the seam line the way you did it. Look like the purse was made that way and it is a one of a kind.
That’s what I can’t understand- who uses a bag until it gets this bad? I don’t own any Gucci but I do have mulberry, vintage coach, Salvatore Ferragamo, Prada Chloe and LV. I would never let any of them get this bad before having them repaired and I keep them all spotlessly clean.
This Jerry line style had been reintroduced so it’s very worth saving.. I wonder if the replacement canvas would have matched better if the original had been cleaned? (although on my screen it looks a very good match). Beautiful job as always-I think Gucci should steal that idea of the leather frame on the end pieces! Makes it look more expensive.
Hi Steve, thank you for another bag video 😁 it's fascinating to see just how every element is constructed and put together. Much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
Steve, Love your videos man. I am a dedicated knife sharpener myself so I get you. But I made the switch to snap blades by Olfa. I hit them as well as my utility knives with a loaded strop or a sharpening rod...diamond or ceramic. But man, watching you in this video! Kinda painful. Put a new blade in that knife man! For the love of all that's good in this world, load a new blade!!! LOL. PS. I love hammer time and this amazing work you do. To have the craft that you have...it's a gift, a gift. Keep it all coming Steve, you're a craftsman's inspiration...truly!!!
It’s funny you say that. My first big designer bag was a Louie. ‘77. My mom had Gucci but it wasn’t till later people who lived overseas told me that Italian leather was better quality.
I think the reason why it bothers people that you sharpen your 'disposable blades' is because they're so cheap to them but what they don't realize is that you run a business. You probably go through thousands of blades a year. Now imagine if you didn't sharpen them how many would you actually go through? It makes sense as a business person that a few swipes on a file or sharpening stone to extend the life of a blade, it helps the overall profitability of the business.
I would think there are a couple of reasons. When you sharpen the blade, it is just a bit better than before it was sharpened, but not the dramatic change of a brand new blade. Easier to control the cut. The second reason is that Steve was undoubtedly raised to be frugal and the habit stuck.
I wonder what Steve's effective hourly rate is. I bet he earns more than the cost of a blade in the time it takes to sharpen a blade....although as I type this, maybe it's faster to sharpen a blade than it is to change one.
Great job. You've turned me into a purse hoarder, remake. I have 40 purses at least now. Some gorgeous vintage pieces, LV 40 Autograph, Chanel, Celine, Arcadia, a few I got very cheaply or reasonably. I'm fixing them up and gifting them to my grandchildren and children. Maybe one day you can show how to refinish patent leather. I have no Gucci though. I bought a few, but the sellers never followed through.
Great job I will send you my bag!🥰😱❤
Reusing the ends was definitely the best choice.
This video has everything: the fashion, the “hey man”, the sharpening of the blade, the detailed explanations, the spunk, the attention to detail, the details about tying off the threads, and just overall excellent, masterful work. I think that the patina on the bottom is warranted because of the age of the bag. Brilliant work as usual!
Glue is definitely a secret weapon!
You are a good 'observer' mister!
All we need is hammer time!
I like these videos where he talks openly and explains things.
I like how you said the other way of fixing did not speak to you. You chose well. Great job.
Beautiful work as usual ... Thx for posting and ''Let's Continue '' ...
Phew! I am so glad you heard me yelling at the screen to add the leather trim! Outstanding job!👍🏼🇨🇦
I sharpen my razors all the time to extend their life. Very nice work.
Same here. Good practice for non disposable blades. If you can sharpen these thing blades, you'll have a much easier time getting an edge on thicker blades.
You are a true artisan and an entertainer. Thank you. I quite enjoyed this calming video with my morning coffee

Thanks Steve for putting the project cost in text at the intro of every video!!
Nice watch Steve and a matching belt and blue suede shoes, cool! Nice job the bag !
Great job!I like the way you put that leather on the ends
"Plan A" was the best, I love the result, beautiful bag 👍
Steve. Plan A/original plan was definitely the way to go! I love your attention to detail. I learn something new each new video.
Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Those shoes Kick Butt! And people need to remember that "The Sharpest Tools are the Safest Tools".

Thank you sir

Lisa
Awsome job and some great ideas. As always much love and God bless.
Thank you for the explanation on the red rubber sole.
Another great job Steve.
I think adding the leather to the ends made it look way better than the original.
Steve, You are a genius to use a drill. God bless!
Steve, when you pulled out that big sharpening stone.. I knew it was coming and I started laughing out loud….😂
Trigger Time!!!
It’s been a long, long day man. I needed that. Thank you.
Gorgeous purse. You do great, Mr. Bedo. It's always a joy to watch your videos. God bless you and your family.
I was super skeptical on those side panels until you put the first one in. Great instinct!
You did a great job on that Gucci!
I'm glad you choose to go back to the original plan, it looks so much better! ❤❤❤
I smile when I see you, my Son-in-Law is from the Lebanon (now living in Australia) and we travel from the U.K. every year to see them. When he sees me, he is obsessed with my leather bags and shoes and wants to know where I get them from - he just loves good leather products - as do I …

Ok I see you Steve! Watch band, belt and shoes matching. The jacket goes perfect with the fit as well. 💪🏾😎
Great job on this Gucci.
I love watching a craftsman at work. Especially one that loves his trade as you do.
Beautiful work! Thanks for sharing. Cheers! 👍🏻🍻😊
Love all the blue suede, especially the shoes. oh, I oved the redo on the bag. LOL
I truly am tired, I worked almost big part of today in my garden, exhausted I heard you say this is a Hoochie purse and then looked again, it was Gucci. Anyways. I wouldn't buy either the Louis Putain nor the Hoochie one. But I do like your humor and it relaxes me. cheers!
Rejuvenation at it's best. Another classic reborn
Another awesome job and Vid!! You are a master Craftsman Sir!!
As always, great job Steve. Really liked what you did with side panels & finished off the bag superbly. Love seeing vintage bags being restored & giving their owner many more years enjoyment.
Talking and using a sharp knife. Genius as far as I'm concerned 🤗😍 and Plan A was right on the money 👍
21:10 Agree with you on the plan A. Even though I'm not big on "branded" bags, the value of these comes from the branding itself, so if you replace it with a "copy" of the original, you loose part of it's appeal and originality...
The handbag looks amazing. I like what you did on the ends of the bag. Another great video. Let’s continue. 🤩
I like all your videos, but I really like the elegant solution to the wear on the side gussets in this one, nice work!
I love the sound of your sewing machine, it is so robust. I think I know why you start work so early in the mornings now. It's because your power supplier makes you use it when there is low demand. 😁
I really enjoy watching your videos and anticipate how you will repair them. You really do an awesome and great work.

Fantastic content 👌 👏 👍
Amazing work as usual. I love seeing you rescue peoples things.
Nice, very nice work👍
Another amazing job! ❤️💚❤️
Another amazing job 👍 it turned out beautifully 😀 👜🥰
really lovely work, ends of the bag looked great, very impressed.
OMG that sure was some "crunchy" bag😂😂
Great job.
Wauw nice job...

Another one! I love watching you fix bags just as much as doing shoes!🔥🔥🔥
Nice vision to completion bag, Steve. Your experience has come out in such a fine result in this project.
Amazing patience and skill to do this job. The bags look stunning.
Oh I was laughing so hard , I was noticing your watch as you started to comment about it. I was thinking hey that is a different one than worn with the Louboutin shoe video
You are a master craftsman breathing new life into well loved favorites pieces of clothing and accessories. Cheers
Nice job !!! Thanks Steve 👏👏👏👏🍺👍🇬🇧
Close run thing but I like bag repairs more than shoes ..... except when it's the other way round. 😆
Steve! Well done good sir! You easily added another 20 years life to the bag. Always a red letter day when I see one of your videos pop up! Cheers from (a very hot) Texas!
Simply extraordinary execution and CREATIVE fixes too, typical Bedo's!
Good call on the leather trim on the end gussets. I wholeheartedly approve of thinking a bit out of the box. Great save as usual
I change my blades because they are cheap and handy. If they are a long walk away, I make do. Maybe do an episode where you keep changing blades to see if you can trigger the other side of the coin ;)
A great bag video Steve a nice repair the leather on the ends was a great addition lots of use back into it yet another happy customer 👍
Great job Steve, I'm a fan from the Philippines!
Wow, I watched this video. The bag looked like it was ready to be tossed but you made a miracle on it Amazing job. Kudos to you
I like your plan MUCH better! Looks really nice, finished, sophisticated. Beautiful work as always!
Hi! It's been a long time since I've watched your videos, for some reason they were not popping up on my notification. It was recommended by YT. Glad I found you again! What an amazing job you did! That[s a whole brand new purse. Such tedious work! Well done!

Bro the jeans were tight!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful work Steve. Those sides will be stronger at the seam line the way you did it. Look like the purse was made that way and it is a one of a kind.
I like the sidestep you used to sew the buckle tab on the end piece. Nice work!
I have that purse without the green strip. It's over 40 years old and is still in excellent condition.
@@Truth1561 I know, when it was not being used, it is kept in the cloth bag that came with the purse.
Beautiful restoration!! You are an amazing craftsman!
You are an amazing human being .
Great job on a really hard worn bag. Good call on the ends of the bag. Looks fantastic!
I’m always amazed at the outcome great work!!
I really like the new sides. I think the leather their makes it look sharp. The bag turned out awesome. Take care of yourself Steve! 👍👜❤️
They say: "Shoemaker without boots", And you have stylish shoes, it's beautiful
Not hard to see why you get compensated as much as you do. Better than new! On all your work.
Great job! Looks so pretty & brand new 💯💖👍
Superb. Thank you.
The biggest problem was the fact that the og one had darker print (to my eyes). There's not much you can do to make them match when that happens.
Everything you do is “magic”!
It turned out beautifully!! I like the extra leather trim edging on the ends. Great job, thank you for sharing.👜
Very nice work sir. 👍👌🔥
Great work Steve! Loved the dressage stiching too, I'll remember that trick.
You could actually use a old sewing machine jus for the bobbin process only so easy & fast
Hi Steve, thank you for another bag video 😁 it's fascinating to see just how every element is constructed and put together. Much love and respect to you and yours from the UK 😁👍
always outstanding content from you guys.

Excellent restoration of the bag. You are a master artisan Steve.
Bravo! Excellent 💖👍👍
This looked to be a little better made (materials) bag than all of these LVs you've done. Nicely brought back to life Steve.
It’s funny you say that. My first big designer bag was a Louie. ‘77. My mom had Gucci but it wasn’t till later people who lived overseas told me that Italian leather was better quality.
Some people got to have something to complain about. It doesn't bother me if you sharpen your blades. 👍👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
