@@Brian-xo5xi this song was written about him, and much of Organisation was inspired by the dark atmospheric sounds of Joy Division. OMD played alongside Joy Division at the Leigh Rock Festival in 1979 as well.
Brilliant, listening and watching OMD at 17 in the early 80s took me on a journey they all specturms of electronic music, House, Rave, Tech House , Minimal, Melodic House and Techno
Janice Spyby- Hi, you are listening to the Original First Techno Band, cemented by Andy's Dynamic, Energetic, Electrifying Techno Style Dance. As, most consider SynthPop( Sick Pop), not what OMD had envisioned, blended with Punk, New Wave & Electronics. They also were the only band to record their Legendary Music with Junk, Op-Shop, scavenger, for their equipment. They have been compared to the Beatles as the Psychedelic of their Era.1960's.OMD to Techno Era 1970/ 1980- 2000 etc. The Fan Base for OMD has expanded to the children that never existed back then. Becos!!! their Parents were single & ready to mingle with OMD. Wasted Days & Wasted Nights. Lool. Can still do Andy's Dance. Lool. Most of the Synth Pop were influenced by OMD. As they were of their Idols Craftwerk(German Band) Technology. Just as the Beatles were influenced by Buddy Holly & the Crickets. Insects. Appreciation & Acknowledgement of this Unique Band is Unmatched. Have A Nice Life.
Still my favorite OMD song.

I can’t immagine how this ever came to be...
Yup
Brilliant!
This song is about Ian Curtis of Joy Division. Both bands tour together in the 80's, so sad
Ian died in 1980 and that was the end of Joy Division as a band so that would be impossible.
@@globalparadise6979 I stand corrected. OMD and Joy Division toured together in 78+79
I suspect not everyone knows what this song is about unless you are an OMD fan. I think Ian Curtis would have approved.
I understand this song was about Ian Curtiss of Joy Division?
For Ian Curtis
Do people actually pay to see these sing pretty depressing 🤔😞
Suppose you like James Aurthur pmsl
Get a life
Suppose you watch X factor for your music get a life
