I work at Feadship Aalsmeer in Netherlands where the Lonian was build and am proud to say i was part of the team that spraypainted the Lonian. A beautiful yacht. We just Finished working on the Obsidian. If you like the Lonian,The Obsidian will blow your mind!
We saw both of those vessels anchored in Maalaea Harbour while on vacation in Kihei Maui in April 2022. The chaos from Hodor was fun to watch. Tenders, Waverunners, the helicopter and an offshore racer. Definitely how the 1% of the 1% play!
look forward to your videos and this one was as always entertaining and informative- Shawn does need special recognition for his starlink endeavor - genius
Eeeek! Great episode! They were spotted off Vancouver Island the other day so I was very excited to learn more about them. So cool that the crew recognized you! RUclips famous!!!!
I’m a former resident of the Seattle area so I love to watch your videos. Seattle was much less crowded and more laid back when I lived there. Super yachts however don’t get me as excited as what’s left of the traditional boating scene. Wooden runabouts, Lake Union Dreamboats, trawlers and not to forget M/V Freedom keep me coming back for more.
Shawn's install of the Starlink is nothing short of amazing, so it's great that some of the other kool kids noticed. Congrats. Your install kick's theirs right in the butt. If ever in a real storm, theirs will blow off...(but they probably have 3 spares in boxes)
I have always said the best place to cruise is the Northwest! So beautiful! Don't take it for granted! You are in the Eden of cruising grounds. I only wish I had the means to cruise that area. I would do it for the rest of my life.
Lonian and Hodor were in our harbor up in Discovery Passage right after this and stayed a couple of weeks. It looked so crazy to see such huge vessels in our quaint little bay!
You guys passed my all time favorite boat only 4 docks away from Lonian! Please go back and film her for me. Providence is a 60’ Seaton trawler that I love and she was in a few frames of this vid! I’ve gotta get out there and check things out. Looks wonderful. Another great video! Thanks.
The SS Minnow of Gilligan`s Island fame was docked at the marina where I kept my fishing boat here in Sooke on Van.Isle.I thought it was someone trying to copy the Minnow and found out later it was the real deal.I would have taken pics if I had known. The marina owner told me later that the Minnow`s new owner did not want anyone told about the boat being the real Minnow. She was on her way to Port Alberni area to be restored.
We as a family were sailing in Corfu and just had seen this Awesome yacht on July7th. Its pretty amazing looking. The support yacht looks like a military stealth machine. Super cool as well
Super nice Mega yacht & Support vessel !! I really like your drone footage and you do a great job ! I liked seeing the Holland America cruise ship, we took a 2 week cruise northward thru Alaska and it was fantastic. Hope you all are doing well, take care and live it up !!
It's surreal to watch the 'Have's' (MV Freedom) turn into 'Have Not's) and admire 'Mega Have's'... which in turn will admire a yacht even bigger than themselves
Sweet dreams Sean. However I think maybe you should both plan a visit to the Monaco boat show. Then you'll see some truly amazing mega Yachts never mind a super yacht like Ionian. Sadly some of the most amazing and beautiful yacht have been "arrested" due to their ownership and carted off fir sale by the US navy! The Flying Fox has always been my favourite. But my most affordable @circa $19m is the Nordhavn 120, poss the 140 if it were re designed inside and all the Kelly Hoppen dour colours ripped out. Anyways thanks for showing, let's hope that the yacht ie from the UK isn't getting horse whipped for chatting to you.
As I am sure you know Starlink was approved for mobile applications. Esysman super yacht news on RUclips mentioned a super yacht there in Seattle it may have been this boat check his site out a very recent post.
Fun video! I just can't conceive living on that scale, though. Logistics. Moorage fees. Finding moorage and dealing with limitations due to size. Groceries. Laundry, and thank God for staff! I gather the support vessel is "stand alone", given the # of people it can accommodate. Just not with the amenities found on Lorian. You're right, it's crazy! How cool that Shawn's install was their guide. A fun outing for you on a beautiful July day. The weather up there is gorgeous from July 4th thru mid-October. I lived in the Tacoma area for 27 years. Now down in deep south Texas where it's currently outrageously HOT 🔥! But we don't endure the months of rain and grey. Hugs!
Yes we asked the crew about what it’s like to provision and he said it’s not bad. They mostly just make a list and go to a local grocery store! Specialty items requested by the primaries might have to be flown in with them.
@@mvfreedom Thanks for your reply. Can you imagine being responsible for the provisioning? How many grocery carts would it take? I really enjoyed your video on provisioning. Informative and helpful. I can't wait for your videos as you prepare for your upcoming Great Adventure. We were Alaska-bound this summer but my back surgery became a priority instead, so maybe next year. I'm doing fine and still following several FB groups which are Alaska-focused. I think of you guys every time I see a harbor, or a memorable passage. I'm looking forward to any announcement you'll be making. Exciting!
It's an okay yacht pair but I would pass them up in favor of a yacht/tender with a hanger to protect my helicopters from the elements! I'm inching closer to getting Starlink, especially since my rural county's promises of home fiber broadband seem to be baseless! Keep up the great videos and above all STAY SAFE! ⛴️❤️😁
They were both just here off of Lahaina, Maui for a couple weeks. I could see them from my house every day. Before the media reported on them I thought it might be Jeff Bezos's boats since he just bought a huge oceanside estate on Maui, but yea, it's the former UFC owners.
A new megayacht named Blue was just launched a month or so ago which is 15,320 GT's and 160 meters in length(524ft)with a beam of 22.5 meters(73.8 ft).
I was literally there in the morning visiting the market when I came across it too. Decided to google the name Hodor! I wanted to ask for a tour but didn't think that was gonna happen lol.
YOU KNOW WHAT THE COOLEST THING EVER IS? DOING A POLAR PLUNGE IN THE BEST BOATING AREA OF THE WORLD WHEN IT'S CLOSE TO 90 DEGREES ON LAND. THEN CELEBRATING THE PLUNGE WITH 10 DOLLAR CHAMPAGNE FROM TRADERS. SOUNDS LIKE A PARTIAL VIDEO TO ME. ALSO YOU CAPTAINS CHECKED OUT TO SKIPPER THE MEGA?
I think most of us guys when we even heard a peep about Starlink we put them on Trawlers and Yachts. It changed the game on the water over night. Thanks Elon. 😄
Funny that there is only a 66 foot difference in length between the two yachts. While both ships are beautiful, I have to disagree with Shawn, for me the best yacht is Paul Allen’s former yacht Octopus. Talk about a ship with some serious capabilities.
Just so you know I have being posting Sean's Star Link video on esysman, Aquaholic and Nautistyles and a number of sites telling people who did not seem aware of what he did. This was from day one. I am sure I might not be your only viewer who did this. I posted it on a lot of the Tesla "gropiee" channels and on Elon's time line on Twitter and on the Star Link Twitter feed. I knew about the very expensive and insane cost of internet on Yachts and everyone was waiting to see what was going to happen with Star Link. To my knowledge Sean was the first to have it done.

Susan & Tony here, We are also excited to see your recognition on the tube. Really great content.

We are in Poets Cove Marina staring at Hodor right now trying to check into Canada.
Lonian and Hodor were in our harbor up in Discovery Passage right after this and stayed a couple of weeks. It looked so crazy to see such huge vessels in our quaint little bay!
Good morning from land locked Montana 🤠! Sweet vessel.
Good morning!
Very cool! Thanks for showing us...
Thank you guys for lonian...

The Video quality from you two is so good . Enjoyed this morning video 😎
Glad to hear it!
Your videos are always the best. Please keep making them, thanks
Wow you are world famous! Just don't forget us little people that love your channel! :-)
Hells Bells that was Brilliant

Nice! Thanks!
You might have yacht envy for that - but some of us have yacht envoy of your Nordhavn! I just wish my boat had 6 more feet!
Thanks for sharing was awesome but like Freedom better
The "support" vessel is longer than the Navy minesweeper I went to Vietnam aboard!
We as a family were sailing in Corfu and just had seen this Awesome yacht on July7th. Its pretty amazing looking. The support yacht looks like a military stealth machine. Super cool as well
Just saw Hodar go past South Point about ten miles south of Ketchikan (8/25/22, 9am).
Later saw Lonian at Misty Fjords Air dock, just south of coast guard station.
Love love love your show

Ha Ha, “yachts of fun”. Shawn is funny sometimes 😂
Nice looking champagne flutes. I’m guessing they are acrylic. Where did you find them?
Spotted at Port Graves, Gambier Island BC

Enjoyed the video!
excellent video nice yacht
Does it come with ludes?
Freedom might fit in that pool on the stern!
I too love the pacific north west but could never live there because of the Cascadia Subduction Zone
You’re famous!
You should have tried to use that fame to get a tour. 😃
We were secretly hoping and waiting but they would’ve gotten into trouble 😬
@@mvfreedom it was worth hoping for.
Maybe next time. 😊

Ha ha ha, Shawn’s Starlink redesign! I guess no need to watch his night vision video! 😂
Kooler than the other side of the pillow... he plays it well.

So, I'm thinking it wasn't the StarLink video, it was your Captains video. If you had flashed your license you might have gotten a tour.
Is. That the support yacht that is just forward?
They were both just here off of Lahaina, Maui for a couple weeks. I could see them from my house every day. Before the media reported on them I thought it might be Jeff Bezos's boats since he just bought a huge oceanside estate on Maui, but yea, it's the former UFC owners.

Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Add "Starlink Consultant to the Stars" to your resume' now! Could be a lucrative side gig!
I saw hodor docked in San Diego today the crew member was holding court ! He said for 750k a week you can rent the yacht and hodor
I was literally there in the morning visiting the market when I came across it too. Decided to google the name Hodor! I wanted to ask for a tour but didn't think that was gonna happen lol.
Drink and operate a boat where I live will result in OWI, guess I need to move to the northwest

I have been spamming the starlink video's on some big yacht tube's :-) You 2 premiered that and should get some credit for it 🙂
I think most of us guys when we even heard a peep about Starlink we put them on Trawlers and Yachts. It changed the game on the water over night. Thanks Elon. 😄
Nice. I've seen Hodor in Fort Lauderdale...
Love trader Joe's wine and champagne
Trader Joe’s Utah - no cheap, inexpensive or expensive champagne! 😂
Now that starlink announced "starlink Maritime" and a $5k/month fee, do you think they will cancel any "RV starlinks" being uses over the water?
Maybe, that’s why we don’t use it while underway!
@@mvfreedom The unit still works well for you even though it's mounted in a fixed position?
Funny that the best part of the superyacht is its support vessel.
Which flag is that...i havr seen it on many mega yachts
Cayman Islands - Tax friendly
Are you using iPhone to film all your videos?
Trader Joe's champagne is awesome! You can also use it for fuel for the Nordhavn, if you run low!
Funny that there is only a 66 foot difference in length between the two yachts. While both ships are beautiful, I have to disagree with Shawn, for me the best yacht is Paul Allen’s former yacht Octopus. Talk about a ship with some serious capabilities.
Today’s music was great. Can you share the name of the group?
Wow, that was really cool guys. You don't have to be mega rich to be famous LOL
We like your nordy better :)
We agree 😉
It is "yacht surveilling" because stalking is a crime!! I've had a few people recognize me for my Bacon Dad videos. Keep up the good work.
I don't understand the tender ship concept. According to Wiki- even the US Navy did away with tenders for most of their/our ships. Tour! Tour! Tour!
And again, made in the Netherlands...
I dont even know you and I love you
Hey guys Elon Musk is advertising Starlink for Cruise ships, Shaun should get royalties 😉
Cruise ships & yachts. It’s for mobile marine applications.
5K/ mo... Yikes
Ya but….. at ridicules pricing…
Former owner of the UFC owns that boat?
That's that fighting martial arts stuff right?????
Yeah it’s Lorenzo Fertitta and his bro. Bought it for a couple million and sold for about $2B. Crazy good luck with that investment!!!
@@mvfreedom Wow... they already rich and still turning over profit, impressive. 👏
Makes me wonder if Boones Farm, Ripple and Mad Dog 2020 are in the pantry.
They could of shown you around Hodor lol
We were hoping but I think they would’ve gotten into trouble 😏
@@mvfreedom But dont they know who you are? lol...they could of shown around without filming :-)
Hodor looks way cooler 😂😂
Why main yacht have Heli sleep storage. Like my aunt and mother in L.❤…😂
I was wondering who owns the yacht... Also, did you take the drone videos? If so, surmised it was allowed. Nice photography none the less.

Love you channel but don't think mega yachts are very interesting or exciting.
Thanks, just when I was feeling good about myself and Edonismo you've shown me what a loser I really am. 🤦🏻♂😂
42,000 gal fuel seems not right. That’s common on a 130’ yacht or 150’ yacht.
According to the builder, Feadship, it carries 160,000 liters of fuel. That's about 42,100 us gallons.
a lot of "boat" to clean ..(thats about the only downside to that boat)
Sorry, fresh out of words... On the hard, Ed
No you are not! Move further south!
Yacht not make corny jokes.
Hodor & Ionian are considered Megayachts. The giga yacht term just isn’t something real yacht experts use.
I gotta quit watching videos like this….I used to love my Century 2600 CC, but now I feel like a loser when I look at it.
never understand why people get dogs and cats on boats!...is a torture for animals
Not sure what your idea of torture is, but ALL the boat dogs/cats that i am familiar with get absolutely 100% pure LOVE from their owners.
@@rkdrury1 trust me they dont want to be there ! only reason they are is because of their owners
Those dogs look pretty happy 🐶
