- Check out the first leg of our adventure on the California 395 Highway!
This was the maiden voyage of our unique overland vehicle build, a VW Touareg V10 called Odin. We put Odin to the test to get to the Crowley Lake columns and he didn’t disappoint!
We ended our day at a beautiful campground in the woods and kept dinner simple with our first Peak backpacking meals. Watch until the end of the video to see what we thought of them!

I’m absolutely in love with the car.. although for me personally I’d prefer more minimalist options than what y’all have.. reason being in my opinion all the extra gadgets that are supposed to make life easier for you often create more stress for me and ruin the experience of camping.. glad y’all are enjoying everything though.. wish I had more time to get out in the wilderness

Haha right? 😂 It’s walkable too if you park at the bottom of the hill but we went on a really hot day so we were thankful we didn’t have to!

What are the tent dimensions ? i had put soft tent on my touareg, but i want to try the pop up ones, but those seem huge on the touareg 😅

Too much comfort as well, packing that car full like a tiny apartment on wheels. What's the point?
