wow, got a bit teary eyed seeing how long of a tradition trees as a closer has been, especially the drumming on the crowd part. great video! it's awesome that you captured this moment in their career.
This was Josh’s first time seeing them. He was with my friend Tim Trad who runs .”free Clothing” and he brought him to the show. Prior to that he hadn’t heard of them. This was when Josh worked at Guitar Center in Columbus.
@@flyingsaucerzz Is that him at 3:04? Two to the left (our left, not theirs) of the white shirt guy (who himself is next to and in front of the red hat guy). Also directly behind the guy in glasses in the bottom left of the frame
@@VanetaRogers1 In an interview with Nick, he says that him and Tyler collaborated on that track. Writing the keyboard notes together. Here’s the interview, at the 24min mark he explains this ruclips.net/video/Cokb6XrZQxc/видео.htmlsi=BSqdoRPe7o7UJSrw
Hi. I and my team are developing a wiki site about Twenty One Pilots, where we are trying to gather as much information about the band as possible, especially about the old days and the band's performances. I have already contacted some of the band's old listeners and I would like to ask you too, could you tell us something about those times? We are interested in the May 1st 2010 show and other shows that you may have attended in the period 2009 - 2010 and if you have any videos or photos of them that you could share with us. Also if you want we don't mind to know how you met the band. We would be very happy to hear from you. Thank you very much for your understanding!
not enough people know about these guys!
im crying now...if u were even know
elijah sprague What about now?
Too many people know about these guys now 😂
This comment actually made me tear up a little
oh my god this made me start crying
They even did the drums back then
"Come around to the merch table, we want to talk to you guys"
CAN YOU IMAGINE being able to?
thanks so much for posting this, sitting here crying over this performance 12 years later, how far they've come and this song is still being played!

ok is there a tear in my heart or in my eye?
the first comment is oddly fitting, yes this is sick, sick as frick.
And the fact that this was uploaded in 2010 is crazy.

@@johnwostenberg840 Yes, blue plaid shirt, black hair.
@@flyingsaucerzzwow that’s so cool
i thought nick was going to conduct the crowd with a glowstick...
Just wow
I didn’t know they played trees only 5 months after their first album (Self Titled) Came out.
tyler wrote trees when he was around 17, so it was on the no phun intended tracklist :) this song has existed for about 13 years!
@@skincrawlz what’s even more interesting is that he co wrote the song with Nick.
@@blurry_bandit1890 Hmm... that's not what the official credit says.

wow :’)
So was this the live debut of Trees?
Sure was, I’ve never seen a crowd this crazy for a band that would be considered “local” at the time.
I've hugged them all !!
Lucky
Holy shit
this comment section makes me weirdly emotional because the majority of comments are from 2010 and 2011
This is such an early era that Tyler actually told the crowd to clap for themselves, lol |-/
1:48 his little dance is so cute
Nothing changed between 2010 and 2019 🥺🔥Except the confettis
