You do many things the traditional way… me often too. If this were a Cwicly tutorial, you could just use the query builder?! I think the Gutenberg Query block is still not capable to query CPTs.

yeah you would have to create a new template in cwicly, and in there disable "inherit from URL" and then create your secondary query there, then on your Blog Page select that template to apply it.
