1.Judea is not only a name of a region but as well an Ancient kingdom and a Roman Province. Jesus was born in the Roman Province of Judea to a
      Jewish family.
2.Palestine is just a geographic term nothing more that by the way that term originated from Hebrew.
That term came in use long after Jesus crucifixion

Firstly, if there is in the Bible, so what? We don't have it in regard to Jesus, unlike the word Israel in Matthew 2:20 for example.
So, I don't understand why you try to bring it in this context? we speaking about apples and you speak about bananas where is the connection???
Second, you dont have the word "Palestine" in the Bible what do you have in the Bible that maybe could remind you is the reference to the Philistines (which name derived by the way from the Hebrew word for invaders) the so-called people of the sea people of Greek origin that settled along the south coast of the Land of Israel and disappeared as a distinct ethnic group by the late 5th century BCE by the Neo-Babylonian Empire.

@@johnr.b.murray3417 Can you give that quote about "the Jew was a murderer"? I should like to corroborate it, rather than go by one person's hearsay. I'm sure you have a credible quotable source for me to look up, like a particular Bible verse or historical narrative in order for you to have such a sure opinon on this matter. I do believe in verifying facts for the sake of honesty, truth and transparency, as opposed to imbibing bias, propaganda and twisted logic with no tangible source.
The Gospel of Matthew quotes the Angel of the LORD telling the Jew Yosef to take the young Yeshua, later re-named "Jesus" by the non-Jews, and His mother Miriam and to leave Egypt, to where they had to flee from the slaughter of every Jewish male infant under 2 years old in Bethlehem by the maniacal Edomite-born King Herod, and to return to the LAND OF ISRAEL.
So how does that make Him "Palestinian"? In the time of Yeshua, the former Philistine territory was called PHILISTIA, not "Palestine," and only referred to the narrow coastal strip of land where Gaza is today, but not to the territory of Israel & Judea/Judea, as that was formerly CANAAN.
There were no Canaanites in Israel when Yeshua was alive, nor any "Palestinians."
The term is of modern coinage applied by the Romans in order to insult the Jews after cruelly expelling them from their Holy City and Promised Land, and razing their holy Temple, after their ancient and implacable enemies the Philistines, who were neither Arab or Jew or Semitic.
Therefore, factually and historically, it is impossible for Yeshua the Messiah to be "Palestinan"!
He is, however, King of the Jews, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and the Messiah of Israel. 👑 ✡🕎

Jesus was a Judean (geographic location), from the levantine tribe of Judah (lineage), raised in Galilee, not a "Israel". When Israel is mentioned, it's in reference to Jacob, a bloodline, not a nationstate or religion. He was not Jewish (by religion) either, because he was not a pharisee nor did he practice Phariseeism.
He preached the word of God in their temple, and they rejected him because it was not in line with their (Pharisees) views. The Greek historian Herodotus mentioned in the 5th Century BC the land called Palestine.
Interesting how the modern Jews love to claim him yet reject his teachings. Almost as if they want the Christians on their side. Make of it what you wish.

While Jesus wasn't a Pharisee or adherent to their specific interpretations, he was raised in a Jewish community and practiced forms of Judaism prevalent at the time. He challenged some aspects of established Jewish traditions, but his teachings were still rooted in Jewish religious and cultural contexts. And about the Pharisees they were one of several Jewish groups at the time, and not all Jews were Pharisees. While Jesus had disagreements with some of their interpretations, he also interacted with other Jewish groups and individuals. Oh you are right about Herodotus mentioning "Palestine" (not how it is used or what its used for today but thats neither here nor there I am sure a smart man like you knows that) but The Kingdoms of Israel and Judah existed much earlier than the 5th century BCE.

Just because some Jews do not believe he is the Messiah does not diminish his Jewish heritage or their own Jewish identity! To be Palestinian is to be from Palestine. To be from Palestine is to be from a geographic area. To be from a geographical area is not related to race/ethnicity. Jesus was from the same area that we now call Palestine. He was Palestinian.

    • @scented-leafpelargonium3366
      @scented-leafpelargonium3366 11 месяцев назад

@larrymccammon157 : It was not called "Palestine" when He lived there. If you know the Christmas story, Jesus, or Yeshua as He was named at birth, was born in the province of Judea, which is named after the Jews, which the Arabs from Arabia have re-named the "West Bank" to disguise its clear Jewish links, as they can't very well found an Arab State of Judea. (!)
As Micah the Old Testament prophet foretold: (Micah 2:6):
"BUT YOU, BETHLEHEM, IN THE LAND OF JUDAH, ARE NOT THE LEAST AMONG THE RULERS OF JUDAH; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL."
And before the massacre of all the children of Bethlehem under 2 years old in order to kill the baby Yeshua by the paranoid King Herod of Edomite stock, Jospeh was warned in a dream to flee to neighbouring Egpyt till the danger was over, namely after Herod's death, then later to return.
Matthew's Gospel records the instruction to return and the name the Angel of the LORD calls the country in chapter 2:19-21:
      19. "Now when Herod was dead, behold an Angel of the LORD appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
      20. saying, 'Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the LAND OF ISRAEL (not "Palestine"), for those who sought the young Child's life are dead.'
      21. Then he arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the LAND OF ISRAEL" (not "Palestine"), [at least according to the Holy Bible respected by Christians worldwide].
"Palestine" was coined by the Romans to insult the Jews after ethnically cleansing the land in 135 CE of most of the Jewish population. It was cynically named after Israel's ancient enemies, the Philistines. However, historically and Biblically the territory where the Philistines dwelt was called PHILISTIA, which was the narrow strip of land by the coast where Gaza is today. It was never the whole territory of what became Israel-Judea, as that was formerly the land of CANAAN, not PHILISTIA, and the two never overlap.
Besides, if Yeshua was to be born today the Arabs would not allow it in Bethlehem as they have overtaken the Biblical City of King David and would not allow a Jew to be born there, no mater what nationality. It would cause a riot. The "Little Town" is now under the thrall of Islam.
No peace and joy there, never mind goodwill. It is an anti-Jewish enclave Jesus couldn't visit.

@@JesusSavesTheDay96 It still does not exist. Palestine as people now call it is ancient Philistia, not Canaan or Israel-Judea where Yeshua was born. Palestine did not exist back tnen but Philistia did. The two areas of land never overlap or conflate, so it's a moot point.
Bethlehem is a Hebrew name, not Arabic, and there is no letter "P" in Arabic for the Arabs to pronounce "Palestine" anyhow. They can pronounce "Arabia" as that is where they came from.
I am all for both peoples living in peace and sharing the land, but the Islamists want it ALL.
That is why every approach at a peace deal has failed, plus they resort to attacking Jews.
The Christian Arabs are caught in the midst and will hardly oppose the yoke of Islam.
There are many oil-rich Arab nations, but only one tiny piece of land claimed by the Jews.
I don't think God is being unfair when you see how the all the land in the Middle East is divided between both peoples. With some brotherly co-operation instead of resentment and hate the area could be prosperous and without conflict for both Semitic cousins instead of daily war.

The idea that Jesus was Palestinian is so absurd. There were no Palestinians back then, as such, rather Jews, Arabs, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and various other peoples who lived in what later came to be renamed Palestine by the Romans but at the time was still called Judea, after the biblical kingdom of Judea but in a new and expanded guise under Hasmonean rule that the Greeks and then Romans ultimately conquered, occupied and ruled over.
So nationally Jesus was a Judean Jew and legally he was a Roman subject, in neither case Palestinian. The only meaningful Palestinian connected he had, other than this place eventually being renamed Palestine, was that genetically, ethnically and culturally, he had much in common with other peoples of this region and the Arab people who would eventually come to call themselves Palestinians. But that didn't make him Palestinian any more than an Irish person is Scottish just because they share a common ethnic and genetic heritage.
When you feel that you have to resort to such silly and pathetic redefinitions to legitimize and sell your cause, you've already lost and conceded defeat. This is the Palestinian version of saying that Santa Claus, a non-existent mythical person, is white, which is just as much a testament to the idiocy and desperation of the people making such a silly and pointless assertion.

Yes, Jesus was a Jew and Christianity emerged from Judaism after His death and resurrection. However, was he born in Palestine? Was he a Palestinian Jew, in fact, I doubt that He was a Palestinian Christian. because even His disciples were Jewish. 29 Do not rejoice, all you Philistines, that the rod that struck you is broken; from the root of that snake will spring up a viper, its fruit will be a darting, venomous serpent.
    Joel 3:4
4 “Now what have you against me, Tyre and Sidon and all you regions of Philistia? Are you repaying me for something I have done? If you are paying me back, I will swiftly and speedily return on your own heads what you have done.
    Easton's Bible Dictionary - Palestine
    Palestine [N]
originally denoted only the sea-coast of the land of Canaan inhabited by the Philistines (Exodus 15:14 ; Isaiah 14:29 Isaiah 14:31 ; Joel 3:4), and in this sense exclusively the Hebrew name Pelesheth (rendered "Philistia" in Psalms 60:8 ; 83:7 ; 87:4 ; 108:9) occurs in the Old Testament.
Not till a late period in Jewish history was this name used to denote "the land of the Hebrews" in general (Genesis 40:15). It is also called "the holy land" (Zechariah 2:12), the "land of Jehovah" (Hosea 9:3 ; Psalms 85:1), the "land of promise" (Hebrews 11:9), because promised to Abraham (Genesis 12:7 ; 24:7), the "land of Canaan" (Genesis 12:5), the "land of Israel" (1 Samuel 13:19), and the "land of Judah" (Isaiah 19:17).
The territory promised as an inheritance to the seed of Abraham (Genesis 15:18-21 ; Numbers 34:1-12) was bounded on the east by the river Euphrates, on the west by the Mediterranean, on the north by the "entrance of Hamath," and on the south by the "river of Egypt."

Matthew chapter 2:19-21 mentions ISRAEL, not "Palestine" twice, by Angelic revelation:
      19. Now when Herod was dead, behold an Angel of the LORD appeared in a dream to Joseph (Yosef) in Egypt, 20. saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother (Miriam), and go to the land of ISRAEL, for those who sought the young Child's life are dead."
      21. Then he arose (Yosef), took the young Child and His mother (Miriam), and came into the land of ISRAEL" - NOT "PALESTINE"!!! 🙃🤯🤨
YESHUA WAS BORN IN BEIT-LECHEM IN JUDEA, THE JEWISH TOWN OF KING DAVID. 👑
The only "Palestinians" in the Bible are the PHILISTINES which lived in PHILISTIA, which was the narrow coastal strip of land where Gaza is today, not the whole land of Canaan, later called Israel and Judea. Yeshua was not a "Palestinian"/"Philistine" or an Arab. ✡

@@theo_mp4499 I have heard that old chestnut, which is twisting the truth into propaganda.
Whether you call the land "Israel" or the people living in it "B'nei Israel" ("sons of Israel"), the term does not negate their connection to the land, which was previously called CANAAN, not "Palestine" as you claim. Palestine was PHILISTIA, only a very small strip of land where the Philistines dwelt, which is the narrow coastal area where Gaza is today, but not the whole land of Canaan/Israel. Bibles being "updated" does not change these basic facts, although history revisionism and denial attempts may try to change these things in order to delegitimise the Jews claim to Judea, which the Arabs from Arabia claim for themselves, hence re-naming it "West Bank."
There were Twelve Tribes of Ishmaelites who became the Arabs and there were Twelve Tribes of Israelites who became the Jews, and they come from two twin sons, Esau & Jacob, who even struggled together in the womb. The struggle goes back to that moment in Biblical history, and the Koran bases much of its text on the information given in the Hebrew Bible and even the New Testament, but as you say of the Bible, somewhat "updated," and so do not always match.
Nonetheless the two peoples are Semitic cousins stemming from one common father, namely Abraham/Ibrahim, and all 24 Tribes were allotted land to live in in the Middle East. The Arabs got the huge area of what is now very oil-rich Arabia, whilst the Jews dwelt in the very small parcel of land called Judea, which means "praise," but the Arabs are hardly praising the Jews today.
Do you expect that the 12 Tribes of the Arabs were given land, but the 12 Tribes of Jacob or Israel were given NOTHING?!! Did ancient tribes work in such racist policies and Abraham favour only Esau's sons, but ignored Jacob? That doesn't add up humanly speaking, even if you do nit-pick about what land is called or not called, how can you leave 12 Tribes with no territory?
And if the Jews are so illegitimate how come no one EVER QUESTIONS the rights and bloodlines of their Semitic cousins, the Arabs, for if the Jews have no rights, why do the Arabs?
You say that in the past there was no place called "isreal", well that is right, as there was no place called "isreal," but there was a land called ISRAEL, if one spells it correctly (!) which is the only nation and people with the word for "God" in it, as the "EL" in Isra-EL is the short form of "ELOHIM," which is the plural Hebrew word for GOD. Thus you could be opposing God Himself.
If Israel as a country did not exist, it is funny how the Palestinian Arabs live in so many places in what the Romans re-named "Palestine" that have ancient Hebrew city names, not in Arabic.
The Arabs cannot even pronounce their historic Arab "Palestine" as there is no letter "P" in the Arabic alphabet. You can twist and deny history all you want, but in the clear light of day the Arabs have got no historical claims to Judea before the Roman ethnic cleansing of Jews in 135 whereas the Jews win hands down as their Title Deed comes from GOD and not from man. 🙃
I would say the same about Arabia too, but then many people do not believe in God at all.
But truth will win out in the end.
      Shalom-salaam-peace 🌿🕊

Canaan (historical Palestine) is the land which the tribes of Israel conquered after an Exodus from Egypt and the Canaanites are the people they disposed from this land of Palestine. The Canaanites who are Palestinian arabs lived in Palestine 10000 years ago until the tribes of Israel ethnically cleansed them in the 12th century bce. So the ethnic cleansing and crimes that Israelis are committing against Palestinians nowadays are not the first in history.

Are you talking about the Philistines which are people that living in Gaza and has nothing to do with Palestine? The Philistines got extinct when the Babylonians took over their land. Palestine is a name to humiliate so accepting it means accepting humiliation. Palestine was given to the people living there as an insult to them because it's similar to their ancient enemies. So Palestinians are named Palestinians to humiliate them so If I'm a Palestinian I'll just call myself a Muslim Israeli which thank God I'm not.

Jesus, peace be upon him, was a Jew biologically in the sense that he descended from a Jewish family. However, being a Jew is not a religion in itself. He was a true Prophet of God, which means he submitted completely to the Almighty God. That makes him a Muslim which means one who completely submits to God. The name of the religion is Islam, which means submission to God.
The religion of all the Prophets of God, starting with the first Prophet, Adam and ending with the last Prophet, Muhammad, peace be upon them all, was Islam.
When Jesus, peace be upon him, came about 2000 years ago, his people, the Jews became divided into three groups. One group of Jews refused to accept him as a Prophet of God. They went out of Islam starting a new religion called Judaism. Another group of Jews started calling him the son of God. They also went out of Islam forming a new religion called Christianity. The third group of Jews believed Jesus, peace be upon him, was a prophet of God. This group of Jews were the Muslims of that time. These were the true followers of the message of Jesus, peace be upon him.
In other words both Judaism and Christianity started about 2000 years ago.
The most amazing thing is that millions of American Christians consider Jews to be the chosen people who don’t even believe that Jesus, peace be upon him, was a true prophet of God. They believe him to be a false prophet. On the other hand they oppose Muslims who believe that Jesus, peace be upon him, was a true prophet, born of virgin birth and will return to earth before the end of times. Just think what he will say to Christians who believe that Jews are chosen people.

Jesus might not have considered himself Jewish ethnically based on the record of how he referred to the ethnic Jews when he spoke to them. He usually addresses them as "the children of Israel" (the person not the land), whereas, according to the customs of that region and time, he should have addressed them as "my people", meaning he is decedent from the same forefather as they are (he might have done that as a way of indicating that his father is not from the Jewish ethnicity but, you can guess). No doubt, his mother was Jewish (ethnically and religiously), so by tradition, he was of Jewish religion and very conservative according to Jewish writings. In addition Jesus reportedly spoke Aramaic (Syrian), not Hebrew (known as Judean at that time) despite the fact that he could probably also speak and read Judean.
Palestinians of today are ethnically extremely diverse group according to genetics. Philistines after whom the Israel was renamed by Romans and gave rise to modern version of the said name Palestine (Latin: Syria Palaestina) were the main competing group against the Jews and genetically and archeologically closely related and linked to early Greek civilization from Aegean Sea.

The simple fact that when Jesus was born there was no Israel, and there were no Muslims either, during Jesus time Palestinians was not a religious identity it was a cultural one, filled with Palestinian Jews. If you read the bible it talks about the Philistines which means (Palestines). It was vessel state ruled by Rome at the time of Jesus. And if you talk to any Orthodox Jew in Israel they will tell you right now they identify as Palestinians Jew since in their own Bible that has been around longer than the Bible as of this moment the jews are currently in exile by GOD and creating a Jewish state (Israel) is blasphemy as GOD keeps punishing the Jewish people for trying to get out of exile.

Today's Palestinians are the descendants of the people that have been living in Palestine for the last 3000 years.

Contrary to what you say , Qedarite Arabs founded a kingdom in the Levant around 800 BC . It sounds like you are trying to erase Palestine from the christian narrative of biblical events. Jesus was born in the Kingdom of Judea , the Romans renamed that area of the Levant Palestine shortly after his death which coincided with the birth of Christianity in Europe so reasonably and throughout history many Christians associate Christ with Palestine. Bro is using later translations/copies as evidence 💀 do your research, the land was NOT named Palestine any time before 135 CE, of which it was named "Syria Palestina" by the *romans* to mock the jews naming it after the Philistines. Before 135CE there was no Palestine it was Judea during Jesus' time

I would take a wild guess and say you've never read the Bible, not even once, in your life:
The Bible only mentions the "philisitins" - invaders (Aegean in origin) who were enemies of the Jews. In Hebrew, the meaning of their name is literally "invaders". They were gone at some point in history, and modern-day Palestinians have nothing to do with them, genetically or culturally.
More than 2000 years ago, when Romans concord Israel, they named it "syria palestina" to distance the land from the Jews on name.
Fast forward in 1964, the Arabs who immigrated to the land mostly in the late 19th century/ early 20th century decided to call themselves "Palestinians" to make it seem as if they are a distinct nation and not The descendants of other Arab nations in the region.
Jesus, in Hebrew- Yeshoua , is a Jewish name. Bethlehem, in Hebrew- Beit Lechem ("house of bread") was a part of Judea, a Jewish town. As well as Nazareth, Jerusalem and so on.
Any attempt to claim Jesus was Palestinian is a cynical lie that only works on very ignorant people.

They call it palestinian because the Israelite were scattered as God' s punishment and a generation came to settle there in a land that is not their original land, but the land is of the Jews as Jesus came from the linage of David. So it does not make sense even in logic having been there over 2000 years ago. Do no politicize it for your own satisfaction

Being Jewish simply means a person who practiced Judaism as a religion. Judaism is not an ethnic race.
Jesus would be considered a Palestinian or a Levantine Arab because he most probably share a similar DNA as them.
