They couldn't even fight back, there was little resistance and the ones who did resist failed and were shot whilst their families were either enslaved or left to rot in the charred out ruins of they're village
Imagine throwing that at Russia in Ukraine. An actual experienced armed forces vs 18 year old Russian kids who have been given guns and sent off to fire them in a field.

During the invasion of Iraq when attacking the Port City of Umm Qasr 3 Commando Brigade were outnumbered 3 to 1 by Iraqi forces but decided to attack anyway just so they didn’t look weak.
