    One thing I like about JJ is she never looks down on anybody's job/career. To her there's "working" and "not working" and that's it. If someone says they were working at Lowe's or Subway or something like that she's just as OK with that as she is any other job.

      Sorry. I've seen thousands of Judge Judy episodes, she doesn't give a rip about anyone getting emotional. She'll even say to not waste tears on her, she doesn't care. Or don't even bother with a sob story about your dead mother or sick father or any of that, that she DOESN'T CARE. Then reiterates that she DOES care, but it is NOT relevant.

      I agree, I don't know why anyone is commenting that she is showing any kind of kindness to the lady who is crying for no apparent reason. JJ hates when people show emotions. She usually tells them that she does not give a "rats behind" and that they are on the wrong show, he'll I've seen her get angry at a child who was crying because tears don't work on her. If I was her I'd feel the same way, she's held her position for decades and emotions have no place in a court of law.

The first time I thought she was going to actually tell her she didn't care about her crying but instead she did something that made the court giggle about the annoying fly.

    I hate that we live in a culture that makes a work from home mom look as if she’s living in the lap of luxury and contributing nothing to the household. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands, and non-stop around the clock care deemed meaningless because no money is attached. Ridiculous! A stay at home mom is worth 150,000 a year in services with no sick days, she works on vacations if she’s lucky enough to get one, no time off, no bonuses, no applause for her cooking, and very little sleep. My mother says “Men retire and women die” - a woman’s work is never done - if she works outside the home, then someone else is in charge of her children for a fee and in most cases, she still has to do all the house work and meal preparations. Not thrilled with JJ line of questioning on this one. Can you tell? Lol

      Hahahahahahahaha and what about before she had a kid and wasn't working? And a mom is worth 150k a year? The hardest jobs of labourers in the US don't pay that much. It's harder to have a shift at Walmart with a shitty boss than taking care of kids. That's why she didn't work before.

    • @Yatlick
      @Yatlick Год назад +18

      In New York (where they apparently live), the average cost of childcare is $14,000 per year. Let's even double that, since it saves the effort of transport to and from childcare, and other benefits as well. That's still just $30,000 a year. That's ~$15/hour. I greatly value and respect stay-at-home moms, but you are kidding yourself about the actual financial impact on the household.

      Well i think the way she treats this mom in regard of her being a stay at home mom Is the reason she's coming to the father of the child to pay for something both of them are responsible for, he's paying for the house and she was paying for appliances and that's for her son mostly, you understand a little why JJ is mean to her? She's not entitled to have money back bc she signed something and got into something on her own will

      I agree that stay at home moms don't get nearly enough credit. I don't know if there's a set dollar amount that could represent what a stay at home mom does though...I think it probably varies household to household because let's face it, not all parents are good parents. But yes...its a very difficult, stressful and thankless job. I agree with JJ that she's not entitled to her money back, but her line of questioning was definitely rough. Maybe even a bit biased as she can't stand people who don't work...especially if they collect disability and/or welfare. I agree with all her points on that topic every time she speaks on it. The first replier is an idiot.

These young dumb kids don't get married but live together for 7 years and it causes a headache to the legal system because there is no contract like a marriage certificate when they split. I think Judy is more frustrated that these kids don't get married first and then move in together.
