He's a box to box midfielder, why don't people understand the difference between a defensive midfielder and a box to box player.
SupremeSINCE07 because box to box midfielders are primarily defensive players. Since Vidal is valued for his defensive attributes hence the defensive midfielder tag. Hope this helps

Such a complete player. He works his socks off for the team whether in defense or in attack. His versatility is unique. Wonderful video. Yer that would be a brilliant signing for United, he would be an enforcer in midfielder and a great distributer for them alongside Carrick/Fellaini in the future. Though it will be very difficult for any club in the world to buy him, especially if Pogbas contract woes continue and he moves on, I believe a massive transfer fee would have to be made to allow Juve to let Vidal go

I'd almost go as far to say the best just because he's so well-rounded. He's not an offensive genius in Iniesta or an impeccable distributor like Pirlo but he's a brown belt in every aspect!

I seen him play for Juve a few times, but the 2014 World Cup just blew me away. He is just amazingly untouchable. His versatility in midfield, his control, his passing, his vision, his through ball...just incredible. Unlucky Chile were out now. When Vidal was sub off in the brazil game, Brazil started to take more possession. Vidal is a complete player.
Also he has an operation before WC, maybe 1 month before... And he come to play on WC 2014 without problems, like he was not going on that operation :D
