i know I shouldnt want a relationship or anything but, sometimes I feel like its just me... no real friends who check up on me besides one. Here in this house struggling with school and life and just the though of my bday make me literally sad and want to die, its kinda like I just want to stay in this position not worrying about a lot but just my emotions. oh sorry I wrote a whole paragraph lol

I've come to the realization recently that every emotion I think I know has just been simulated, by music or literature or films. I've never fallen in love or had real courage or been in those deep friendships that I've always wanted. I'm sixteen, the age I'd looked forward to my whole life, and I can't wait to grow up. I just feel stuck, I guess, because I'm too scared to fall in love so young, and all I want is to be smart and successful and ready to live the life I've always wanted. I know I should cherish the youth that I have but I'm too worried about being perfect that I can't take any risks. When's the last time I went outside, or took time off online, or talked to a stranger? Why am I so scared to exist in other people's worlds? I guess I'm just not happy with who I am right now and want to guarantee to myself that I'll become better with time. But I guess what I really need to do is just start living, even if I'm not as pretty or smart or sociable as I want to be. I guess I should go those things that scare me. I mean, I'm not going to be sixteen forever. I just gotta start acting like I did before I knew how much the world can hurt you.

Go at your own pace. There is no rush, let me tell you - I started to live life a little bit after 10 years of ruminating on it. I took my time, “wasted” my younger teenage years, and now I am able to enjoy the present properly. You don’t need to run into things full throttle to have a good time. You don’t need to worry about the time you’re wasting. As long as you go at your own pace, and explore at a rate that is comfortable to you, you will be fine.
