@@komgko3322 I place a light meter in a box and shine my torch into the box. Aiming away from the light meter. I put diffusers in front of the meter until it reads 1000 lumens for a proven 1000 lumen torch

please compare convoy s11 vs s21a.
S21 is almost the size of S2+ while S11 is almost the size of C8 (nearly twice the weight). I don't think 26650 will ever be worth using since we have 21700 cells
@@wojtekimbier I wouldn't be rejecting the idea of 26650 flashlights that easily. Some LEDs require a lot of heat dissipation, which implies quite a heavy head, which in its turn requires a heavy "tail" to balance the head. And this is where 26650 lights come in play with a bonus of extended battery life over 21700 lights, especially when you don't need to carry all that weight in your hands, i.e. cycling flashlight.
NO, 26650 is still a good battery, and a cheaper option compared to 21700.. Might bit heavier but still good.
S11 is not worth buying anymore, unless you use a spaced 21700 inside it. By this point, why bother. Either get an S21A or B, or if you want a larger reflector, then the M21B.
Convoy has always heating issue, but always the best budget flashlight. Love my S2+ and C8+.
No real heat fins but nobody really needs 2000ish lumens all night

In future could you add information about size of cells fitting in, how much is max. input current and is it practical to use protected cells.
You may want to look for 1lumen or zeroair reviews for these extra bits of technical info.

I think convoy is more on LONG RANGE.. Which it does good.. Jetbeam. Is brighter but not long range...
Convoy does good on short range too. Big floody emitters like the XHP70 or FC40, or high CRI emitters on smaller lights, or even wide-angle TIR.

The gaps between modes are too large. Would have been better with a biscotti or a6 like driver. I'm still keeping my blf a6 over this. :)

yeah, which isn't bad. Some similar lights drop down to around 200 lumens

No. S12 is a triple LED, it will put out more light. S21A has better range instead.

You should pull this video down. As you are promoting a false claim of 2300 lumens when it's only 1600 lumens. As tested by the pros at budget light forums
Tested on shit Texas Ace spheres! Trust me I had one and it was wank.
Budget light forum testes this light and it tested at 1600lumens nowhere near 2300
Tested on Texas ace spheres which read floody lights incorrectly...
Some more known brands are also speaking about LED lumens, some inform also out of factory lumens
