Can we put black paper instead of non reflective sheet
Hi Vallabh,
I am not sure, but would love to hear from you, after you have tried it.
I would encourage using a dull/matt finish papaer, instead of glossy paper, which will knockout any possibility of IR rays been reflected.
Do post/share your observation.

The only bottleneck/problem is paper getting wet all the time from spill over.

Sir what is the name of non reflective object
Dear Purnima,
There is no name to it.
What i have used is a matt finish/soft touch mobile cover.
Believe, there are some non-reflective paints also available, which can be used alternatively on any surface to make it non-reflective, like "Black Doff Color"

you can paint it, the reflective object, using black doff color. I did it to my sink and the sensor works properly even i put the system under direct sunlight.

Aap chaho tau plastic yan metal sheet bhi use kar sakte ho.
Sir we can extend the base of the dispenser with a non reflecting surface to stop the malfunctioning right.?

You will have to shate with me your circuit diagram to understand if you have made any incorrect connections.
Meanwhile, pls make sure your transistors is PNP type.

Agar sunlight directly yan reflect hokay bhi sensor par padegi tau sensor malfunction karega.
Solution mere issi video main hai.
Alternatively, aap reflective surface ko black doff paint bhi kar sakte ho.
