- Another video for "The Great" dedicated to Catherine/Peter. It was tricky finding an appropriate song, but I felt this one worked quite nicely. And I'm curious, how does everyone feel about the Catherine/Peter relationship? There's moments that I love them, other moments I find him totally despicable. I can't help but ship them overall despite all the drama and issues. Anyway, enjoy the video and all info is at the end.

I ship them too. I hope in season 2 their relationship will move even further, they have changed so much by the end of the 1 season for the better. Catherine is a good influence on Peter he is getting better

they will not be together because this is a historical series and it means that peter gonna die soon and catherine will be a head of a Russia (( sorry for saying that , but i hope that we will see some interaction
on the show they actually made them have a connection develop. they obv aren't going with the original story.

As strange as it may sound, they're actually making each other better people. Granted Peter's coming from way lower on the morality ladder than Catherine and I would absolutely never want to date him or be married to him, but he's very interesting to watch. I sort of hated that they cast Nicholas Hoult because I love him as an actor so much, but about three episodes in I could see why he was a perfect choice. Peter's complicated and Catherine is a lot stronger than she started. There better be a season two because I really want to see where these two characters go and I believe historically they have two children together, so this is far from done.

They had 1 child together the second child (Anna) was from her lover but she died at a young age. Her first child Paul was most likely fathered by Peter
I agree, at first I wasn’t a fan of Nicholas playing Peter, it seemed off, but now looking back, it totally works
