AMS2 is where it's at for me. Followed by RF2 and then ACC. I do understand why most prefer IRacing, as online is what most people want to do. But as far as best Sim goes as an overall package, I find IRacing to be lacking in all other aspects except online racing. I do enjoy IRacing very much, but I don't think it's the top Sim as a whole.
In the end, there is only on-line racing. Racing AI and hot-lapping get predictable and tedious. Campaign modes are too restrictive, and so easy just to quit a race and restart. Racing other humans is where it's at. Eventually, most will come to the same conclusion.
If you crank the AI in AMS 2 up to 115-120 and put them on low aggression you actually get very clean and hard racing. This also greatly placates their erraticness.

VR is the most important piece of kit in a proper sim racing setup and not talking about them Quest models, but better go for HP Reverb G2 for example or better - The future is here now..

I raced in a private league in ACC on a single monitor for about 18 months. It’s a great looking sim and the handling is good. However, I grew bored of racing GT3 over and over again. Automobilista 2 is fun for a quick pick-up race between friends. No dedicated server required and so many car choices. Unsure why you hate it so much. You never said. Raceroom is great in VR with my HP Reverb G2. Love, love, love the ‘90 FR series. It’s the early ‘90’s F1 category. When it comes down to it for me, the physics have to feel right, VR has to work well right out of the box, there has to be enough car series content to hold my interest, AI racing should be a fun challenge, and setting up a multiplayer race with friends should be simple. While my top choices to change, at this point my top choices are determined by the quality of the VR experience and so my favorites from 3rd to 1st are Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2, and Raceroom. I really like Raceroom but as less player is in the online ranked races I just stopped to play. I do not want to compete against 5-6 cars, really miss full grid races. That's why I will switch to iracing soon...
iRacing was designed from the get to be a swriling money pit created to keep sucking the money out of your wallet. The graphics are child like, the cost is rediculous and even thier licencing has now been taken from them because everyone knows what a money pit it really is. I think the platform that you love depends upon what kind of racing that you enjoy. If you like formula cars then ACC is not going to be your bag. If you like cup cars and older racing ACC is not going to be your bag. But if you love GT3 racing you simply cannot get better than ACC when it comes to cost, graphics, realism, sound, and overall usability. Raceroom however I think will always be the best all around goto for all kinds of racing along with AC. AMS2 is great for graphics and those who have slower PC's but it's car selection and track selection along with its physics still has a way to go and RF2 as far as Im concerned is a heep all around and has been for years. Crap graphics, horible UI, and just an all around mess of a game that's been out for how long now? And thier last big event proves it. Can't wait for some new action from some new updated contenders that should be coming out this year. We need it. Thats my opinion... I know a lot of people won't agree but Im sure a few will. For what its worth.

iRacing, are you fucking kidding me? It's got playstation 2 graphics and the physics model is highly questionable today, I bought 2 year sub - dirt cheap, and gave it a try - it's truly awful compared to modern sims, and the idea of paying a lot of money for further content makes me nope the hell out of there. I can only come to the conclusion that those who highly rate iRacing today are so monetarily invested into it that they're blinded to what it actually is, which is a very old multiplayer game.

3) We're getting new interesting cars this month.
4) The dev studio is coming under KW brand finally.
Other releases were underwhelming, but I do look forward to the next year and expect some nice changes. Upd: The UI is slowly being reworked too, this might also improve multiplayer/ranked experience.
Project cars 2: rubbish on controller and feels like physics from ridge racer on ps1. I don't believe sms that they made an original engine, its taken from Namco.
Automobilista 1: excellent game great physics and controller friendly
Assetto corsa: the best game I have played by far. Especially with content manager/mods. Truly a great game
I really like Raceroom but as less player is in the online ranked races I just stopped to play. I do not want to compete against 5-6 cars, really miss full grid races. That's why I will switch to iracing soon...
ACC all the way ❤❤❤❤
Best Sim: rF2.... Best experience: iRacing...
iRacing was designed from the get to be a swriling money pit created to keep sucking the money out of your wallet.
This was a good video. I'm just not in agreement with iRacing being #1. The iracing $y$tem i$ ju$t too &^%$! expen$ive as you pay for all the car$ and track$s which can get to be ridiculou$. I'm hoping that LFM someday soon picks up AMS2 as the future of Studio397 for rF2 thanks to Motorsport Games going just about bankrupt may doom this title.
AMS2 is the best for me
IRacing has ovals in the south we love ovals
Iracing ? LOL
keep up the great work!
Thanks mate - really appreciate that!
I never played iRacing, because its expensive.. but because of reviews i know its very good..
In my opinion
1. IRacing
2. RaceRoom
3. AC
4. ACC ( Because it's only for GT4)
5. Forza Motorsport 7 (waiting for new one)
6. GT 7
7. Automobilista 2
8. F1 ( ALL ❤ )
9. Project Cars 2
10. DiRT 2.0 and WRC Generations
iRacing, are you fucking kidding me? It's got playstation 2 graphics and the physics model is highly questionable today,
I bought 2 year sub - dirt cheap, and gave it a try - it's truly awful compared to modern sims, and the idea of paying a lot of money for further content makes me nope the hell out of there.
I can only come to the conclusion that those who highly rate iRacing today are so monetarily invested into it that they're blinded to what it actually is, which is a very old multiplayer game.
What do u recommend then
@@majorgrub1730 ACC via LFM (even though I'm too slow to qualify for that) or RaceRoom which is actually free, you just pay for whatever content you want.
No other sim has ovals asphalt and dirt so IRacing is king I don’t do road racing at all but I’m from the south cut my teeth ar dirt tracks
RF 2 has rain
I still think Forza horizon 5 can be made into a pretty good sim I feel like it's super under rated.... Well cars would have to be tuned. but still my wheel feels amazing with it kinda surprised....
Haha nice joke
AC is better that anything on this list by a mile.
Iracing is crap for the money you spend. Buy cars you cars you can't race, very little A.I ability on a lot of cars I owned... went straight to ACC and AC. Man I had 29 cars and only could race in AI for about 8 of them. Not bad for over $500 spent.. I love australian touring cars but could do and AI race.. that's retarted... And don't get me starte4about the scoring system...
iRacing.
ACC
Ac and rF2 for me, I can't choose
Single Player Career Mode... I do not get the point why so many people seem to need this...
No GT7 Ben??
Iracing is expensive so i get why people are turned off but it is by far the best
