I think this goes without saying for me at this point, but I'm a HUGE fan of the Amex BBP for all the reasons you mentioned here! The fact that I got this card with only a soft pull and it doesn't report to my personal credit report is pretty awesome. It literally had no effect on my credit score and I'll have a free 15k Amex points and a great card to boot which is pretty great! Nice vid Stan!
I love the BBP. If it were available on the personal side, it would be neck in neck with the Gold as the best earner among the Amex cards, or arguably flat out the best earner if you have high non category spend.

This is my first Business card, I’ve had the Amex gold for a 7 months & I applied last week. Approved for 7k in credit & I’m only 23! I will be requesting a CLI in July when I go on Vacation & setting myself up for Chase Ink cards. I’m actually holding off getting the Chase Freedom Flex since I’m 4/24 & I have the other two.
Hey that’s awesome! You’re on your way to having a great credit card setup with AMEX! Definitely a smart move going for those Ink Business cards. I actually like them better than the Freedom line since there are no rotating categories. Business cards are a fantastic way to garden while waiting for your 5/24 status to cool off 👍!

Yes, the BBP definitely gave you some trouble, but as some foreshadowing, because of your experience, I think you're going to really enjoy next week's video..
I’m with everyone else, I think most of us will want this card as our first business credit card. Did I ask this already? What if you close the business associated with this business card? Will the card terminate or how does that work? The Anchor is the best part honestly, just for that alone, I will need to get this card. I didn’t the Amex offers were different! Good to know that too! Great breakdown Stan!
Thanks Tony! Yeah, I'm not sure what happens when you close the business associated with the card. I don't think the card gets canceled immediately, but probably would want to cancel them manually since the EIN is inactive. BBP is definitely such a great anchor card! Hopefully, you'll get this card soon!
The BBP will likely be my next credit card and I'll *hopefully* apply for it after getting monetized in January or February. Having an easy & achievable signup bonus, as well as the simple rewards structure to getting 2x on everything are huge reasons I want to get the Card. Great video as always Stan!
That's sounds awesome Matt! This is going to be a great card for your setup and really pair well with your Gold Card! Having a catch-all in the AMEX MR ecosystem will really help ramp up your points-earning potential! Appreciate it man!
For what it's worth, I got a Schwab Platinum card last month (first Amex, hard pull) and then applied for a BBP a little more than three weeks later (approved, $10K limit, soft pull). It may depend on a number of factors, but it may not take many months, apparently. I love this card, in any event. No fee, 2X MR points on everything... nice.
Hey congrats on both cards! It was definitely a good move to go with your first Amex card as a personal card. Hopefully every other card will also be a soft pull! And I agree, the BBP is a fantastic card! I also got this card really quickly after my Platinum and Gold card as well!
Great card overall! I decided to get the Barclays wyndyam earner business due to me liking their hotels domestically, and I doing a capital one combo. Happy Holidays!
Question! I got approved, and added my wife as an employee for our small business. I already have years worth of credit built and an excellent credit score for my age. My wife on the other hand just started building her credit this year. Will she be able to build her credit with this as well, even though she is getting the employee card?
Unfortunately, she would not. Amex Business cards do not report to personal credit. Also, ex cards are not great for this purpose because the AU opening date is the listed on her report as the actual opening date of the card and not yours so it’s best to avoid using Amex for this purpose.
Very clear reasoning on the simple yet potent value of this Amex card Stan👍🏾 It's one of my keeper cards, and was my 1st business card. My only gripe is the 50k spend limit on the 2x multiplier. Amex should/could at least double it😎 Thanks for the great content!
Of course man! Yes, the BBP is such a great card a lot of reasons as I mentioned, and I'm glad that you have it as one of your keeper cards! Wow, if you have a gripe with the 50k ceiling, your BBP must be getting some serious use throughout the year!! You know, you could always get another BBP! Then you could have double, haha 👍!
@@anonymoose2474Good business leverage and you can push high charges through the Plum card without issues, obviously have fluid cash to pay it back but still leverage nonetheless. It’s also a card I’ve wanted for a while when I started building business credit.
I was surprised to have been approved for the BBP for even $5K because I was just approved for the BCE and recently received a CLI on my BCP from $15K to $30K. So if need be, I can always move $5K of my CL from the BCP to my BBP. I never knew about the “stability and safety” of having the BBP! THANKS‼️😃

And yes! the BBP will ensure that your MR points will always be safe as a no-annual-fee card.
No need to wait if you have a business checking account! The important rules you need to worry about with Amex are 1/5 (1 card in 5 days) and 2/90 (2 cards in 90 days). You also may have an Amex 5-card limit, but that varies from person to person!
So would I still be in the green light to only getting one inquiry I opened my Amex everyday cash back card in July I know your able too open one personal and one business in the same day but I only settled with the personal at the time now looking to get the business would It still be one inquiry?
Yes, in your situation, you should only get a soft pull when applying for the BBP since you already have a personal card with Amex. This is not guaranteed, but if you have good standing with Amex, this will hopefully result in a soft pull for all future Amex applications 👍
If I apply using an ein will they run my personal credit too? I’ve had the gold delta rewards for around 6 months but I want this one to be strictly ein.
Hard or soft pulls don't count towards 5/24! Only new accounts do (if you apply and get approved for a personal credit card). So to answer your question, no, soft pulls from Amex do not count towards Chase 5/24. Also, thanks for being a new member!
