I used to play this quite a lot, but now I can’t even remember my old control settings!!! Can you post your kb/ mouse setup? I just recently downloaded the “Blood One Whole Unit” version, so I wouldn’t have to go through all of the crap you’d have to do to get it to work on my laptop with Windows 7, installing it from my original game CDs. I can’t seem to get the controls to respond as they used to, to cause this kind of awesome mayhem!!!!

I only recently began playing Blood, and it is definitel y one of, if not the best FPS I have ever played. There's just something super satisfying about nailing a horde of Zombies with a single bundle of TNT or sending a Cultist into the air with a double-barrel blast.
The start of the fifth level Always used to creep me out, because i was kinda scared of the real satanism stuff, and this voice on the start of that level... It always gave me goosebumps. Feels weird when i think about it now. Although , the whole game used to give me a sense of creepyness. The design of the enemies, that weird gray-brown filter which surprisingly fits, or the perfect atmosphere, which overflows with grim feeling. I would say music too, but i had this game without music for some Reason, maybe it was my computer back then or the game itself, cant really say. I also remember being so scared of the walking hands.... Cant really say why tbh... Maybe it was the way the hand moved.. it reminded me of a Spiders a little.
I was kind of horrified the first time I heard the cultist screams as a kid lol. Now they're hilarious. The hands also used to make me jump out my seat when I heard their sound and didn't know where they were. For me at the time it was death if they caught me because I didn't know mashing the use key got them off. Blood's really cool because somehow manages to be funny and creepy at the same time. That's one of the best things about the game for me.

I’ll never forget this game! I use to play it religiously back in the day. I still think it’s one of the best and most entertaining pc games. Thanks, I now know how to get through hallowed grounds properly. Some of those ambush rooms always messed me up. I also like your shotgun/dynamite combo on the zombies. Nice tactic to save ammo.
This game is my stress relief. Turn on the god mode and unlimited ammo. Throw TNT at the zombies to hear their “AAAAUUGGHHH!!” Death screams and enjoy!
I can remember buying this for the PC when it came out in 1997 or 98. I still have the original game, but it won’t run on a modern OS. Now I play the incredible Blood: Fresh Supply, which is basically the original game but it will run on Windows 10. It’s awesome! 👍🏻😎

Ah those Memories. Me and a couple of Buddys playing Blood on Deatchmatch all Weekend long. Connecting the PC´s via Network Cards in the same Room. Lan-Partys ruled back in the Days. You only had to drive one PC to the Buddy´s Home and grab a Shitload of Beer along the Way. Good Fun.
I hear you man. Although I was only about 11 when Blood came out, so no beer for us at that time. One of my friends had two PCs hooked up via LAN in his room and we'd play so many games from that time (Doom, Quake, Blood, Duke, GTA1&2, C&C Red Alert, etc) but I think we played Blood more than any of the others. Its mp was crazy fun.
The best on build, your gameplay exemplifies that. nothing beats jumping and crouching around cultists and clearing rooms like they didnt even know you were there.
Thanks m80 :) I can beat EC no problem but it's not nearly as fun to play (or watch) as WD. On EC you have to be a lot more careful with your ammo since everything has more health, and consequently you have to use the pitchfork on zombies a lot more. Zombies taking 8 pitchfork hits to die is a real snooze. You also can't one-shot zombies with shotgun double blast and so you have to wait for them to stand back up unless you blow them up with dynamite while they're grounded. You generally have to bait enemies a lot more and you have a lot less weapon freedom/ability to play aggressively due to the ammo constraint. It's honestly boring. EC was actually balanced for coop play rather than single player according to the manual.
Yeah it would, but that's never gonna happen bro. Atari has the rights and they're holding the game hostage. I heard Devolver Digital tried to buy the Blood IP from them and Atari charged a ridiculous price for it.

Hey, I set the game to midi music because I prefer it and it also loops. gog version runs the CD music by default and that doesn't loop unless you die/reload. If you wanna set yours to midi like it is in this video, follow the advice in the first reply of this thread: www.gog.com/forum/blood_series/how_to_switch_to_midi_music If you need more help let me know but that oughta do it, simple stuff.

Hi. By default, 'U' will toggle on mouse look, which will make you look around in the Y axis as opposed to move. Also if you go in the in-game menu there's an option for disabling the inverted Y-Axis when looking around. There are also more mouse controls you can check out inside setup.exe. Thanks man :) I wanted to do all the episodes but my laptop actually died a couple of days after I made this video. I haven't gotten a new one because now whenever I play with keyboard+mouse I get pain in my left wrist (even if I use a normal, non-laptop keyboard). As long as I don't play with keyboard the pain isn't there but whenever I do it comes back. It sucks. I'll probably get a new laptop around June though. If I do I'll definitely put up the other episodes and at better resolution, too.

That tactic is so useful, you can even just strafe walk and they won't bother shooting at you lol. Very useful in CQC situations.

I really like this look of game and the crusty looking style like on Half-Life 1
I didn’t enjoy this game at all, I thought it was way too hard (even on easy mode, ammo was super scarce and damage from enemies was too high).

As a kid, I spent months after I killed this silver gargoyle to find a secret door or something.
But then I just finished the game. :)
