Imo going second in melodious(pure) is contingent on your non engine and how well it softens the opponents opening turn both in game ones and post side. It is benefitting from the hand trap meta we are in atm board breakers can only really be dealt with with non engine. I also think the deck can feel bricky some times due to the non engine.
