Huge respect to the WNBA for all the for insults and disrespect they get and still playing ball. Real basketball fans just respect basketball no matter who’s playing🙏🏾✊🏾
Man oh man. Casual basketball fans don't understand what this woman has done in her career. She was responsible for kicking off the UCONN dynasty and has 4 rings with the same squad in two different eras of the WNBA. We won't even speak about gold medals and what she's does overseas. Arguably one of the most decorated basketball players of all time hands down
I'd actually say Rebecca Lobo is a smidge more responsible for kicking off the Uconn Dynasty....Rebecca was the first like TOP recruit to go to Uconn, and was the best player on that first undefeated title team in 1995...Without her, it's unclear whether or not Uconn really becomes uconn. But everything else you said is very true.
I like Sue's idea about 2 players sitting down and watching a game they played against each other. Us regular folks would gain a lot of from their insight.
Sue a WHOLE legend! Thank you bros for having her on! She always make for a great podcast guest, i can see her having an analyst/broadcasting career after her playing days are over.

Thank you for this episode. Love Sue Bird. Dawn Staley, Diana Tuarasi, Chamique Holdsclaw, Lisa Leslie, Breanna Stewart, Sheryl Swoopes, Tina Thompson.... Just a few other names... Dawn Staley would be great though. I'm with STAK, Dawn Staley will always be my favorite women's hooper.... Sue Bird however is in my top 3....
Recently saw a pic of Cynthia cooper with MJ, Kobe, Lebron... it made me smile man cause that’s where her name deserves to be when it comes to basketball.
I've always had a little crush on Sue Bird ever since her UConn days. She's an excellent ball player. I hope she keeps playing as long as she wants to.
My girlfriend and I went to the Women's Final Four in Columbus a couple of years ago. It was Uconn, Notre Dame, Louisville, and Mississippi State. And it was SUPER LIT. Actually got to meet Kobe and Gigi too. They were there in all Uconn gear. And she was having an absolute blast. Never been to a WNBA game, but college games are the sh!t, for sure!!!
Naw its not like you think. The womens Final Four will always be, but did you see the regionals? Plus there are only a handful of women's teams who really have hard-core fans
Women’s final four is always fun to watch! I watch it every year. Same with the women’s college World Series for softball. Always fun to watch and there’s always great players
Folks, keep in mind that Cynthia Cooper, Sue Bird & Maya Moore has 4 rings apiece. Note: Cynthia Cooper won 4 rings in a row (1997-2000), Sue Bird won 4 rings in 3 different decades in the 2000s, 2010s, and 2020, and Maya Moore won 4 rings (2011 - rookie year, 2013, 2015, 2017) before turning 30 years old.
My favorite sports couple!!! Both Sue and Megan are so honest, authentic, fun, and a model for how athletes should comport themselves as pros, but also as advocates for social justice issues.
Sue Bird one of the women basketball players ever. I'm glad to see that she is still doing her thing on the court and now she is helping out on a social front. Always had much respect for her for who she was on and off the court. Keep doing your thing Ms. Bird!!!
Sue is obviously an incredibly talented and accomplished player, but oh my, what a great human she is! Everything she has stood up for and still stands up for to make this league a better place for the future wnba players, all the work she has done against social injustice, discrimination & hatred - man she is the 🐐 on so many levels, she’s in a league of her own 👑
Really glad this podcast gave time to Sue. I find it tiring when you see a female accomplishment and the automatic response from some people is "so what, if a man did the same thing no one would care." Based on longevity in the game and number of championship she is in elite company.
@@BERNARDO712 you left out.... "that very few women could do" not sure why you can't appreciate that what they are doing is not easy. Obviously female basketball is not as explosive but it doesn't diminish the hard work it takes for a woman to get to that point.
