Dorian was an underrated poser. I put him up there with Zane in terms of making his movements look easy and effortless.
Adam Robinette I find it’s a shame to put someone who don’t even pose with grace as a Mister Olympia. At least Vince Taylor and Shawn Ray where there to keep the artistic bodybuilding alive
@@jordanbelougnejoly2074 Yates was a good poser. He showcased his strengths well and hid his weak parts. He was very quick and coordinated for a big guy too.
He deserved the win that night. Side tricep, front lat spread, back lat spread, and ab and thigh were unbeatable it just goes to show even at Dorians worst no one could have beaten him. In addition his conditioning was incredible. And just pause at 1:15 and tell me he didn't deserve the win 😂
And he got a stomache infection and was in hospital about 3 weeks out otherwise might have looked more solid
His musculature and conditioning is incredible. Just unreal. Like he was carved out of stone.
Look at his delts… look at the way he carries his mass… what a beast
Dorian wasn't at his all time best here but he still deserved to win. However he was right to retire after this. His arm was gonna be permanently disfigured and he was also, so I've read, losing the motivation to keep repeating. But let's be honest. By this point he had nothing further to prove. He had beaten everyone in what is widely agreed to be the most competitive era ever seen in Bodybuilding history.
His back was something prehistoric... I think T-Rex's would've run away if he did that lat flair.
1:10 music title?
Still looks amazing. He was the King!
I gotta say Dorian winning can be seen as a fair call. While not at his best he looked damn GOOD
That back is insane
He's at his worst here still in Better Conditioning Than 2018 Mr.olympia Lineup.. if he competed today Game over for Everyone else.
El bíceps izquierdo lo tenía mal, lo demás, una pasada, terrible mounstro, gemelos y espalda de otro planeta 💪🏻
Dorian was the clear winner
Nothing but RESPECT to Mr Yates. Massive and impressive even when struggling with injuries.
Where no man has gone before. Epic
Always at least one step ahead, would have beaten this year's Olympia winner hands down imo.
Very good dorian legend👍💚👑
Il migliore di tutti i tempi
97 was the best year in lighting
2009 when jay won was pretty good too
@@radulescuremus9159 I agree with you on that one, 09 was great lighting.
His back was just too good, thats why he won
THAT's how you pose around your injuries.
It was quite obvious that he was attempting to cover that.
I dont think he looked like a Mr O at all that year.
Shawn Ray was insane good that hear
@@judowrestlerka yep thats what happens when you have the same judges every year.
@@BountyRogueCinemax no that's what happens when you know what the criteria is and how to judge a show. Ray had no business in at least 4 of the mandatory poses. Both of the lat spreads, side tricep and back double bi were Yates' poses no matter what. Torn bicep? sure. Torn tricep? sure. No arms at all, just photoshop them out? he still wins it. Shawn ray was too small to compete with yates and Nasser overall, let alone that year when Yates was 270 and Nasser was like 275-280 pounds.
Notice how the audience goes crazy when Dorian turns around. I don't blame them, his back looks like its been chiseled out of granite.
This back!!!!! Respect...........
El Mejor de todos los tiempos!!!... DY
Well deserved victory....
pause exactly at 1:37
.....this is some alian stuff...
Ok: chest, delts, calves, back, abs. Arms? So what. Still overall the best
At 1:38, was game over!!!
he....was the end of bodybuilding for sure. they let that garbage win with the worst arms ever. his back is not the best either. Johnnie Jackson, Dexter Jackson, Ronnie Coleman and Aaron Bakers are far better. He was ultra conditioned though. Still looked like shit.
That's one pose. And when it comes to lat spread (front or rear, doesn't matter) it's lights out for most people against Dorian. But what about his biceps? Or triceps?
1:30 all is over for all the contenders. Greatness.
The best.
Two words: back and legs. Well deserved Mr Olympia
Dorian at 265 lbs here heaviest ever in his career
When people say dorian lost i tell them watch this
The best, thickness, hard grainy look, conditioning, mindset
Was he at his heaviest during this one?
Yes, 270 pounds of granite mass
Bro archived demon back
Легендарный
Rock hard best mister olympia in the world
What's the audio in the background?
He deserved the win
Dorian Yates The Real Mass Monster.
It's talent to win with one arm.
Naseru was full of water have back and ass like grandma.
