  • Planet Zoo is an utterly wonderful zoo-builder, featuring stunning animals, a ludicrous level of customisation, and a small number of dogs who are slightly too good at escaping their enclosure...

    I'm pretty sure modern zoos probably frown on waiting to research how to care for an animal until after you've bought it and put it on display.

    • @sharkofjoy
      @sharkofjoy 5 лет назад +4

      I know, it's funny, but I actually like how it gradually makes you learn facts on how to care for them. I would have loved this as a kid.

    • @withtheworks
      @withtheworks Год назад

      I mean,, that's fair but you do start with the basic info to set up an appropriate habitat, research just gets you additional information, which isn't unrealistic
      Actual zoos are usually research institutes and you would of course learn more about your specific animals the longer you keep and observe them

    Just as a tip; there's a "Habitat" map, which shows all the traversable area and potential points of escape.
    It also shows you what the game counts as "sheltered" (you can build shelters out of rocks or terraforming or whatever you want).
    My Lemurs kept escaping, and after inspecting the habitat closely using that view, it showed with a bright red exclamation that a nearby was a climbable escape point.
