Maybe it's the fact that I haven't ever listened to this gentleman before so I don't have the perspective of him being in his zone, but it was kinda tiring seeing him this defensive all the time at almost anything Adam threw his way.
Dave definitely was not in on it. Adam has talked about how as they were filming, he legitimately felt like it was horrible and there was genuinely no chemistry and none of his bits were landing. he said it wasn't until a lot of editing was done that he realized it was great.
