Actually she was sick on the Wish Bus version, so doesn't reach the high notes she reaches on the Live Band version, which she does standing, and which may be her best performance of all.

I've listened to this wish Video so many times, (going from memory) I think she might have just turned 20, other fans will correct me for sure :) I should add that most reactors don't go to the very end to hear tht final note, they always stop a few seconds short. Maggie, you are of a handful of reactors who knew enough to carry through -- that's why you are such a goddess!

Hello, Ms. Maggie. Your excitement is contagious! 🥰 This performance by Morissette of "Akin Ka Na Lang" on the Wish Bus is one of her bests and our "all-time favorites"! I agree with you, in some parts she sounds like Whitney Houston, and in some, she sounds like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson. She is a combination of the the great singers, but still she has her own "Morissette sound", we can distinguish her immediately once we hear her sing. It is really amazing how she held that belting note and went straight to whistle note without breathing! Please try also to measure the time it took her to do the belting that followed, again without breathing, it is actually a bit longer! 🤯

Morissette aka Asia’s Phoenix is one of the Philippines Birit Queens. Along with Jona Viray, Klarisse DeGuzman, and Angeline Quinto (Sp?), which are all great as well.
They all follow the legend Regine Velazquez aka Asia’s Songbird and the legend and Pride of the Philippines Lea Salonga. Also Sarah Geronimo influenced them.
