There might be a few. Manuel Gardner Fernandez, Jason Richardson, Ichika Nito, Tim Henson, plus some lesser known guys like Tramaine Jonathan. But at a certain point technique becomes less important than musicality, and this guy has that in spades.

One thing I love about Andy is; there's no wasted moments. Everything is efficient. He doesn't try to be overly impressive for the sake of displaying his technique, he delivers incredibly thoughtful sound consistently and that to me is better than him trying to convince me he's the most talented guitarist out there, even though I believe he is regardless.

I discovered Andy just 20 minutes ago .. I grew up in the era of Yngwie ,Gilbert , Vinnie Moore , George Lynch , Petrucci and EVH .. This gentleman is absolutely amazing . He can shred , Many can .. but to be able to play with emotion .. That is the essence of music .. I might have found my newest favorite .. I must explore more ..

RUclips algorithm just recommended me you. So far all your songs are ridiculously good. A motif I am noticing is unbelievably uplifting melodies. The choruses I've heard so far are usually a basic Swedish-esque soaring melody. LOVE IT!
Man this guy is absolutely incredible. I have been watching playthroughs all night and my goodness. Has to be the most perfect blend of technical prowess and emotion that I have heard in....maybe forever. I am telling friends and can't decide what songs to send them for their first time lol. I listened to this song the day this album was released - and here I am again watching and listening. Andy's solo albums are friggin fantastic. His combination of tasteful melodies and shred are unmatched (in my opinion). All his music is absolutely worth you time!
What I like about Andy is the way of music composition. He is like the Pavarotti of Guitar Playing,because he can make people appreciate his music even if they don't know anything about guitar. That's not an easy task.
This entire album is incredible. I've been listening to it non stop since I picked up a few days ago. I noticed that Andy James does all the engineering for his albums as well. I would love to see some sort of light into his mixing/mastering process. These recordings absolutely kill!
What i find unreal is that Andy plays with a super high action what makes a better tone but compromises the ability to go fast. And yep. He can go fast. Great job. Wonder if was medium to low action. He would run a guitar at speed of light
