If you're planning on blowing up your friend's submarine when playing, use the oxygen tank in your welder when you're carrying explosives. The first explosion will set off the c-4 or whatever you have in your inventory as well.
Sub editor tip: You can make a C4 headset! Simply take the auto injector, take your c4 and add “medical” to the tags. Put it in the autoinjector headset and, when you get low enough, kaboom!
Ooh, that quick reload is pretty useful actually. Whenever the security officers aren't doing their job correctly I like to go full Captain Ahab on the xenofauna but I hate having to drag to reload.
I feel like dragging the mag to your gun feels more realistic, but the insta reload is really helpful. I like realism better, but then I die because I am too slow at reloading.
not sure if it was ever mentioned but liquid oxygenite (however you spell it) can be used as an improvised rocket if shot from a syringe gun, as long as it impacts a hard surface (walls etc.) it will explode, never tried it against monsters or fellow humans but could be useful oh btw in submarine editor you can edit railgun shells so that they can fit in a revolver (changing their ID's to be the same as revolver ammo iirc) so you can technically make a revolver that can instakill most things in the game
Equip a reactor PDA when controlling the submarine. The reactor’s power display will be superimposed behind the navigation terminal, so you’ll know if you’re getting enough power to accelerate or if you’ve got too much power overloading the junction boxes when you decelerate
Actually, if you go in the durability tab while controlling the sub and hover over the junction boxes, you can see how much energy the sub is requiring and how much is getting to each junction box
You might know that in most vanilla ships you can use bilge pumps as ballast pumps if you wire them to the navigation terminal and you might know that you can wire up airlock doors to the terminal as well to open them as captain for a quick decent. You also know about cutting walls to create shotcuts in ships (like remora, typhoon 2, Kastrull etc). The Humpbacks default front ballast sucks, but here is the ultimate tip: Cut the wall between front ballast and airlock, wire doors so that the door left of the airlock pump stays closed and the other doors right of it and ballast stay open. Now do the usual bilge pump and airlock hatch to Nav terminal and bam! You have the ultimate Ballast improvement!
I once blew my friends mind by telling them you could put items inside crates and put the crates into Fabricator input, do the same with Deconstructor by putting the crates on the output.
I'm not sure how many people know that meth gives you tons of stun recovery, if you get stunned you'll get back up WAY faster. Harder to knock you down in the first place too. Very useful for PVP.
This may of been 'fixed' or removed. But if you shoot your Pet with morphine via a syringe gun it heals their wounds, but they will also pop like a balloon a few moments later. Unfortunately found this one out when my friend 'accidently' stabbed my pet orangeboy, and I shot it with morphine to heal it. The poor guy exploded and me and my friend started laughing our asses off afterwards.
In singleplayer (prithee someone cares) you can use z and x buttons to quickly swap between your crew members and C to close and open crew tablet. Used it a lot, also discovered the quick reload myself. Haven't played with wires yet though so more fun to come!
I mean I am annoyed by ballast flora SO I always try to add a "Ballast Flora mode" in my ballast so that the water can get pumped out and the flora takes full damage rather then half when submerged
Neat, my fact made it in. Also another intresting fact for those that use the editor. You can change items tags to put items where they are not supposed to. 2 intresting examples: Put items into detonators and make them not interactable for nice item displays Put certain types of amunition into weapon loaders you are not supposed to. (chain gun railgun or chaingun laser cannon are some of the fun ones : )
PS. there are some intresting item interactions you might not expect so you will spend some time trying like: you can shoot ancient weapons thro railguns and they explode like nukes without the radiation or EMP Damange. You can put oxygen in the Rapid Fissile Accelerator made it shoot something similar to blank shots that do no damange. Extra small fact: Some pets like the orange boy can eat up materials such as most metals apart from the pet food and the saline in the floor, that means that if you dont have pet food and a lot of tin you can feed that to em ; )
an easier way to avoid ballast flora without any wiring is to simply move the sub in an upwards direction while going through, as it will cause the pumps to pump out water. ballast flora only infects your pumps when pumping in.
also you can use flashpowder on yourself in health menu. This make a small explosion on you and it stuns everyone near you maybe you can use it with amphetamine(in old versions it increase stun resist) and do combo, but i didnt test it
this reminds me of ss13 and surgicly impanting explosives inside ya self and if i remember if you ingest several flash podwers than a water reacting explosive you can turn ya self into a nuke

Using oxygen tank inside welding tool will still repair damaged hull but you will explode after 1 secound, same works with plasma cutter Mechanical skill effect effectiveness of the Plasma cutter and welding tool. you can craft master quality items by reaching level 500 in skill that item requires Running into fire while having welding/oxygen tank in quick slot will couse them to explode, having tanks inside Toolbelt prevents it from happening you can level up medical skill very fast by reviving someone by doing CPR on body that has oxygen damage to the point that is in critical condition (below 0 health), once revived you won't get any experience from doing successful revive from CPR for next 7-15 secounds Medical doctor and Security officer are the only one with vitality multiplayer of 1.1 while the others have 1.0 Monsters' ai has priority targeting. By throwing a flare or glowstick at swarm may save your life by distracting most of them away from you or your crew members you can cure most poisons without using antidote , just drink some Stabilizone (not recommend in late stages unless you have a lot of it) you can cure husk infection by using antibiotics, similar way how you can cure poisons with Stabilizone but it comes with internal damage side effect. you can redock to the station to refresh missions pool If you happends to get the same mission, it will not display anything or give you that mission it takes time for reactor to blow up (by default it's 2 minutes (Remember that not every submarine is the same)) If reactor has fuel rod with above 1% condition and reactor has an ability to break down (set by creator of submarine) to 0% condition while running, it will explode the same way with nuclear melt down without any warning game will save braindeath victims' inventory once you move to another area with your submarine (dunno what happends to eaten deathbrain people) CPR revive chance (huge heal to low oxygen damage) is effected by medical skill CPR healing rate is effected by medical skill having low medical skill will couse your CPR to damage other players but hey, at least you can slow down oxygen damage Some afflictions has damage multiplayer depending on target's max HP Security guards and sellers on station have a lot of Health, it's not thier armor Most items have cooldown on use, you can skip it by spliting items on different quickslots. Step 4: Wait for them to drop on the ground (you can use the Health HUD to see their condition). Step 5: Steal their ID card when no one is looking and find the secure weapon locker Step 6: Profit
You can simply steal some things, get caught, run from the security staff to the docking bay and open the side doors. Sometimes they float out on their own, but if this does not happen, you can also "lend a helping hand" by dragging them into the ocean (by pressing the healing button). Don't forget to wear a wetsuit for this.

Heres one even veterans probably dont know. You can repair electronics and mechanical objects faster by pressing the repair button when the line goes across the repair bar WHILST ALREAD REPAIRING. Some noob told me about it and despite having 70 hours in this game i never knew this. Ive even told people with 500 hours who never knew this mini game existed.

lmao im a veteran so i know all of these but did you know if you hit somebody or npc with the toy hammer enough times there is an EXTREMELY TINY chance their body will explode (i recommend using psychosis trait as clown if you wanna try tho)

Or, my personal favourite, the time a guy tried to cure a Husk. I don't mean an infected player; an actual Husk. He killed it, but he _swore_ it should've cured it.
I think you can choose the amount of materials you start with while starting a single player campaign. There's like 3 options low, normal and plenty something like that. In terms of a mod, I don't know a mod like you described since I haven't messed with barotrauma mods a whole lot so can't help you there.
The fire extinguisher works better when you're in a mech, as said fire extinguisher doesn't care about how heavy you are. That is, unless they patched it.w

I know very little about wiring as well. Still You can do a lot of improvements with little wiring knowledge but you'll need to think of a clever way to solve a problem which is not easy xd
iirc you can also fly with the ancient weapon without having to get air below you first by crouching and pressing S+A/D edit: this no longer works it seems :(
I'm pretty sure they changed something in the game after I made this video because now the extinguisher works a lot better but maybe I was doing it wrong when I made the video who knows.

i know a ship has inbuilt flamers for it so your burnign it good
I heard that mutated pomegrenades are good for dealing against ballast flora but i haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet
@@doctorhealsgood5456 Another good use for pomegrenades is dropping them in outpost rooms you want to steal from (if someone constantly sits there).
You don't actually need to wire anything. When you going through flora, just go up, that makes ballast pump out and therefore, flora can't get in.

I would recommend humpback since it's a pretty balanced sub but you can change subs during campaign so feel free to try other submarines as well.
